Not a part of me understands
The difference between gone and deadThey left me
With the type of dissolution that carries you
To your own escapeI took myself to bridges
Black, muddy converse
Looking down at the watery wayIs this my only fate?
Or should I plunge my thoughts
Into the river of my mind and let them drownBubbles going up
The air knocked out of me
I see his faceBefore I knew it
I am above the water
My back achingSharp pains beneath this skater dress
How was I still breathing?
The only thing I could think of was his blue eyes looking back at meTomorrow I will jump again.
