I never wanted to leave that place, but before we did, Maman Majorie told us " I know you angels may not live happily and it will be very rough in the real world, but when you get a chance, enter the nearest woods that you can, and you possibly might find a silver, glossy clam shell that will be under rays of the moonlight no matter what time of day or how bright the day is or isn't, and it will always have space for your sorrow full tears. If you do not find it, then that is a very good sign, which means that you will prosper and be very joyful in the future. if you do find it, it is alright, but you must use it wisely and do not make haste of it."

All 12 of us were continuously asking her why we couldn't stay here longer and we were crying and begging to stay! But we just couldn't stay for some reason. We all had different theories of why we couldn't, like mine was that she probably couldn't afford to have us any longer. Aimee's theory was that maybe she can only keep twelve kids until they are at the age of twelve and then she will get another set of twelve young children to raise. I still think it was unfair for her to abandon us at a young age, but I am very grateful for the knowledge she passed on to us. Unfortunately, Aimee and I are still poor and live in a very deserted land. When we were young, we lived our life as a prince and princess, just too perfect to be reality. I still start to tear up at the fact that we had to leave that perfect world grew up in and wonder what happened to the other 10 kids, whom by now must be adults as I am, or simply dead.
