Half a Heart

Chapter 5

The car parked outside of the university. Sam and Zack were 'one' year older than Cher, Amber and I so the were a year above.

"Are you sure your ready?" Sam asked me for the millionth time. Amber grabbed my hand and gave me a reassuring smile.

"Im sure,"

"Alright lets go!" Amber squeled jumping out the car.

We all followed behind.

Zack quickly stole me from Amber and pulled me in for a hug. When he pulled back the looked me straightin the eyes.

"Promise you'll call me if theres a problem,"

"I promise," I groan, i feel like a three year old.

"Aww you are a three year old honey," sam laughed, so i just grabbed a pen and threw a pen at him. It would have been more affective if he hadn't catched it.

"Well we'll see you at lunch," Zack said to the girls before walking of.

We all smiled and found our way to english. It was weird having everyones eyes on you.

I spotted two familiar faces but I don't think they saw me.

"This is my locker!" Amber exclaimed and Cher just rolled her eyes. I swear you can give the girl a rusty piece of metal and she'd be excited.

"I'm going to find mine, see you im english!" I smiled before walking away.

When I finally reached my locked it wouldn't open. Only some vampires were strong, i'm not the strongest vampire but i am the quickest.

"Here, that was my locker last year." an irish accent from next to me said as he opened my locker easily, "I'm Niall Horan,"

"Thanks," i smiled putting my text books back in my locker "i'm Ariana"

"Is this your first year here?" He asked.

"Yeah, i take it this isnt"

"No second year," he smiled back, "do you know where your going?"

"Not really," i admitted causing him to laugh.

"I can walk you, if you'd like,"

"I'd like," i giggled as we walked to my english class.

During class I sat next to Cher and Amber, they didn't talk much and we ended up doing an an essay in class which was meant to be for homework but i finished in the lesson. I feel like such a nerd right now.

When the bell went for lunch I told the girls I was going to leave my books and to save me a space. They agreed politely and let me leave my books.

"Stupid locker," i muttered as i tried to get it open.

"Hey!" A voice startled me causing a familiar laugh.

"Oh shut up Sam" i laughed as he opened my locker for me.

The locker next to me opened and I saw Niall there with a smile showing his perfectly lined teeth, he must have had braces as a kid.

"Hi Ariana. Sam" he nodded at him (you know when guys do that) and Niall turned his attention back to me. He was about to say something but I was interrupted by 4 other guys coming over and two girls whose faces i couldn't see well.

"This is Zayn, Harry, Liam, Louis and-"

"Perrie and Danielle," i whispered cutting him of.

"Ariana?" Sam whispered wanting to know who they were. So i just thought about how they were my best friends and how they thought I was dead.

"We should probably tell Zack about this before anything," he whispered so only I could hear.

"Hello," Zack chirped in slinging his arm around my shoulder. Amber and Cher followed behind.

"I thought you were dead," Danielle whispered, i so badly wanted to run up to her and hug them both and tell them i would never leave them like that but it would be a lie.

"Thats Ariana?" Liam asked trying to whisper but he didn't know he was in the presence of a vampire so I kinda heard.

"The one and only," i laughed awkwardly.

"Lets go get lunch," Cher interrupted as she and Amber took me away to the cafeteria.

I'd really seen Perrie and Danielle again.
