I wake to the sound of a rooster. This is an odd sound to hear at 7am outside my window. I do not own a rooster, and I was unaware that my neighbors did. Apparently, they do.
Once I convince myself to heave the comforter off of my tired body, I climb out of bed into the cold morning air. When I finally get to the kitchen, the wait for coffee seems to last centuries. Finally, the warm bitter taste of home meets my lips. Now my day begins.
Enter Tabitha, my twin sister. Evil twin sister. Or, I guess I shouldn't call her evil... rather, cruel and careless.
She grabs the coffee from my hands with a snarky "thanks bitch" and struts into the bathroom, closing the door behind her.
