Just plain Love

Open your eyes. What do you see?

Is it really everything you want it to be?

A neverending sky.

Never going low, just going high.

Everything doesn't have to be perfect,

It's like an answer in a test you have to select.

Reading a book and knowing what's next.

Just like written in this very text.

Seeing a toy and crying over it,

Before you start to know how you can hit.

You are the smallest grain I could ever live with,

But I will always let you take the lead.

No matter how small the journey,

You'll always be with me!

A thousand sleepless nights of a misunderstanding and an argument,

I will always let you know what it always meant.

Breaking rules with only a snap of a finger.

Not even showing respect to the teacher.

Going as far as to almost kill someone to protect me,

You will always ask me, 'Are you okay, my lady?'

While others just keep on talking,

We continue the path we're walking.

If this is only simple dream,

I can wake up with a beam.

The scars we have to mark our suffering,

I  know you will always have a ring.

A child with hairs of yours and eyes of mine,

We'll reach from the start to the finish line.

I know that many think this is normal

But I say let them think we're a part of an animal.

Watching others as they try to copy us,

They will always leave it as it was.

Now I know this thing we have,

And yes my dear, it is just plain love.

Suprise! D'ya miss me? This is my first ever poem, hoped you like it. I wanted to entitle it 'An A- in Love.' Which is related to math so I didn't go for it. Math is like a new death wish.
