Cherry Blossom Lovers (KakyoinxReader)

Cherry blossoms. They would always bloom during the spring and lasted until the end of summer. They were a soft, gentle shade of pink and I couldn't get over how pretty they were. I'm such a nut for nature, especially in Japan. I looked out the window, watching them fall to the ground. I paid no attention to the lesson resounding around the classroom. I kept staring until I heard my name being called. I looked up to see my friends, Kakyoin and Jotaro, standing over me.
"Hi guys. What's up?" I say whole heartedly.
Jotaro shoves one of his hands into a pocket and tips his hat with the other. "We're heading to the vending machine for some snacks and drinks. Care to join?"
"Sure." I say standing up, pushing back the chair. I walk out the classroom with the two tall men by my side. During our trip to the vending machine, I noticed most of the girls were making goo-goo eyes at JoJo and Kakyoin and shot glares towards me once we've passed.
"Why is she next to my JoJo?" one whispered.
"She's so hideous. What's she's doing hanging out with them?" another girl hissed. I could feel my body heating up, my face turning cherry red, and my knuckles turning white. Don't think about them, don't think about them, don't think about them. I repeated constantly in my head.
"Oi (y/n), are you okay?" Kakyoin asks leaning towards me. I was so caught up in my anger, that I forgot about my friends.
"Y-yea, I'm fine. Just thinking."
"You sure? Seems like you were getting pissed off by those girls." Jotaro chimed in.
My face turned from a fiery red to a light shade of pink. "How the hell did you know?!"
Jotaro tips his hat further over his eyes. "I would get pissed off too if someone were to talk about me like that."
We reach the vending machines, looking over our options. I went to go for my coin purse until I realized I didn't have it. I must've left it back at the classroom. "Shit." I curse under my breath.
"Hmm?" The boys say in unison. They noticed I didn't have my coin purse.
Kakyoin chuckles a bit. "Don't worry about it (y/n), I have you covered. Tell me what you want."
"(f/f) pocky and (d/f) soda. I owe you one Kakyoin."
He puts a couple of yen in the machine and makes the selection.
"Hey (y/n), Kakyoin, I'm heading back to class. I'll see you guys later." Jotaro says turning heel with arms filled with pocky, chips and juices.
"See ya later, JoJo! Don't forget to come over after school." Kakyoin shouts. I wave goodbye and turn to Kakyoin. "So what now?"
Kakyoin puts a hand to his chin and hums questioningly. He smiles and snaps his fingers as if an idea came to mind. "Let's go outside, I have something to show you." He takes my hand in his and leads me to front of the school. "Where are we going Kakyoin? Class starts in 15 minutes."
His head turns to the side, sending a sweet smile my way. "You'll see soon enough (y/n)." I cock my head to the side in confusion.
He shifts is head left and right to see if our coast was clear and leads me to the back of the school. What came next, left me in amazement and awe. There was a single cherry blossom tree surrounded by falling petals and a picnic basket and blanket. I swallowed thickly and looked up at Kakyoin, who was leading to the tree.
"K-Kakyoin, what is all this about?" I said, my voice nervously cracking. We reach the big and beautiful tree, as it hid us in cooling shade. He turns to face me, his cheeks as red as mine. "(Y/n)", he croaked, "for the longest time, I adored you from afar. I love your (e/c) eyes and your soft, smooth (s/c) skin. Your sweet, gentle smile and your infectious laugh. I love how you get angry and still manage to look adorable. When you are lost in thought, staring out the window and watching the cherry blossoms, I can't help but smile. (y/n), the reason I brought you out here today is to ask you an important question." I stared intently at him. I could feeling my heart flutter and my stomach fill with butterflies. I gently bit down on my bottom lip, aching to know his question. He inhales deeply and exhales slowly. "(Y/n), will you be my girl-"
I cut him off with a passionate kiss. The minutes felt like hours as we kissed. His lips were soft and gentle against mine as they danced in sync. His arms snaked around my waist, pulling me closer to his body. I could feel his heart practically beat out of his chest.
My hands rested on his shoulders, pulling him out of our kissing session momentarily. I responded with a breathless, husky voice. "Yes, yes I will be your girlfriend." Without warning, I felt myself being lifted off the ground and twirled around. I look lovingly into Kakyoin's green eyes as he laughed happily.
"I love you so much (y/n)."
"I love you too, my cherry blossom lover."
Throughout the rest of the school day, I sat under the cherry blossom tree, watching the petals fall with my newfound love.
