"You loose!" Brenda screams in victory, I groan in frustration and turn to look at her. "I hate playing video games with you, you always end up cheating" I say in irritation.

"Don't be such a sore loser it's not my fault you suck at video games" Brenda says, her obnoxious laughter following the statement and I frown in annoyance.

Most guys would probably laugh and shrug it off if their girlfriend beat them at a video game but I'm not one of those guys. This probably sounds discriminative but being beat by a girl at anything is a huge embarrassment for me, but I guess that's just how I am.

"No I actually don't suck at video games because you're the one who cheats" I say and she starts another fit of laughter.

I stand up having had enough of her mocking me and move toward the kitchen, opening the fridge I take out a out a can of soda pop and pop it open then begin gulping down it's content. I feel a pair of arms slip around my torso and I hear my girlfriend's voice behind me muffled by my cotton hoodie.

"I can't believe even almost after a whole year of dating you still get all huffed up over my beating you at silly video games." Her voice is laced with amusement which makes me relax and almost want to laugh at myself.

I'm not usually like this, this only happens when my ego has been squashed. And I don't like it when my ego has been squashed.

I finally smile and grab her arm pulling her in front of me. I stare into her hazel brown eyes. I've always admired how they never fail to capture me, they were the reason I fell for her in the first place. I remember the first time I met her, I immediately fell in love with her eyes but at that time she was dating my best friend so I couldn't really say anything about it but I already had a feeling she would be with me not long after and I knew by the look her in eyes that she felt the same way too. All I had to do was wait and I was right, after about four months she and Dylan broke up and that meant I could officially make her mine so I did.

I know that it was pretty sleazy of me to go after my best friends ex girl but I just had to have her and I'm not used to not getting what I want, I may not be rich and all but I'm very convincing and I convinced him to let me date Brenda.

I push her red frizzy hair aside, lean down and kiss her. Thankfully both her parents are at work so we've got the house to ourselves. Then I suddenly remember something and almost jump out of my skin.

How had I lost track of time?!!

I pulled back and she opened her eyes staring at me confusedly.
"I have to go right now" I kiss her forehead and hurry out of the kitchen.

"Go where?" She asks confused

"Home, my mom arranged a family dinner and all of us have to be home by six and I'm already late!" I say in a rush to get out out of the house.

"So?" she asks apparently still confused.

I groan "You know how my mom is, she'll kill me if I'm late".

I grab my laptop putting it inside its case, I had brought it to study geography with Brenda, don't ask me how we ended up playing video games because I don't know.

I finish packing all my stuff and rush to the the door swinging it open and hurry to my car which is actually my moms car but I'm just using it in the meantime since I'm still saving up for my own car.

Brenda rushes after me though stopping at the doorway seeing as she was barefoot . I open the car door and hop into the drivers seat still hearing Brenda yelling goodbye.

I wave back at her then I reverse out of her driveway and speed off knowing that if I didn't get home under ten minutes then I was dead man.
