Chapter 1

Me and Jazmine were being our usual dorky

selves and making videos of us covering songs or just talking and being weird. Except this time, we wanted to post this on YouTube, just for fun.

" Hey, Ariel,we should sing Wherever you are by 5sos! " Said Jaz. We've been bestfriends since the first grade. We've been through our firsts are worsts together. She was the only person in the world that I could really trust.

" Er mah gawd, yes! " I replied.

While I looked for the karaoke version of the song, Jaz made weird faces at my iPod (which is where we were filming the video).

" Okay you can stop being a creep I found the song, " I said to her and she frowned.

" Well you're no fun, " Jaz said to me.

" What and ever, just start singing and I'll join the chorus. "

" Come on Ariel, you always do that. Just sing loud for once with me! Pwetty pwease. " she looked at me with a puppy dog face. How could I say no?

I started to sing and Jaz's mouth dropped. She had never heard me sing since we were in chorus in like the fifth grade. I just always felt that I wasn't that good of a singer. I mean, Jaz was in musical theatre. I didn't think that I would be remotely as good as she is. Throughout the song, I would smile because every time we belted together, it sounded amazing and Jaz was as surprised as I was that our voices were in such harmony.

After we finished the song, Jaz said " dayumm, this is gonna be amazballs. "

I couldn't help but laugh,she always said the weirdest things. One of the reasons why she is my bestfriend. Right when we posted the video on YouTube, Jaz's mom came to pick her up. It was around 7:30.

" Mooooom, can I sleep over??Pleaseeee, " Jaz begged." Only if its okay with u Mrs. P, " she said looking at my mom with a smile from ear to ear.

" Yeah and you can pick her up on your way to work tomorrow, " I said to her mom with pleading eyes.

" No honey, I'm sorry but not today, " Jaz's mom said to me.

" Fineeeee, " Jaz said with a huff at the end.

Before she got into her mom's car, we hugged like if we were never going to see each other again. It's just what we always do. Don't laugh, its not weird.
