Chapter 1

*Leila*

"Hey, can you hand me that please." I ask my boyfriend of three years. He smiles lightly at me and hands me my water bottle.

"Thanks baby, ready to go?" I grab my keys and my shoes, slipping them on.

He nods his head, and we walk out to the car go to Nate's house where he is having a family/friend get together.

Once we arrive, Tyler opens my door and wraps his arm around my waist. We knock on Nate's door where Swazz opens it and hugs both Tyler and I.

"Hey Swazz! Where's Nate?" I ask him.

"In the back with Sammy, and the Jacks. Dani is with them too." He smiles at me.

Him and Ty start a conversation, and after they're done we all walk out to our group of friends. "Ty and Lei! What's up guys?" Sammy greets us and bro hugs Tyler, and then squeezes me in a tight hug.

I see Nate staring at me from the corner of my eye and I wave at him, which causes him to smile and wave back.

I go next to my best friend Dani while the guys start talking about random things.

"Hey girl!" She squeals.

"Hi Dani, what's up? Haven't seen you in a while." I chuckle.

"School of course. You know, trying to be an Anesthesiologist is hard, damn twelve fucking years of school. I'm halfway done with the first part of school." She rolls her eyes.

"Anyways, what about you and Tyler?" She smiles brightly at me.

My heart flutters at his name, and my eyes light up. "Dani, he's so perfect. He treats me so good, and fuck he's good in bed. But seriously, I have a feeling me and him are going to have a future together,"

"Ever since he came to our school Sophomore year, and joined our gang, I swear to god I fell for him so hard." I look over at Tyler who has a huge smile on his face and his dimples show every time he laughs.

He catches me looking, and winks at me.

"Damn Lei, you seem like Ty has been the one for you ever since you laid eyes on each other." She giggles.

I nod my head. I sigh happily, and I tell her I'm going to get a drink. I go towards Ty and ask him if he wants anything.

"You want anything to drink Ty?" I look up at his tall figure.

"No baby, it's fine. I'll get one later myself." He smiles at me.

"I'm already going to get something, are you sure?"

"Yeah, do you want me to get it for you? What do you want? Water? Soda? Beer?" He asks me.

I laugh, "Babe, I got this. I'll get you a water bottle." I tell him.

He nods his head and kisses my cheek, "I love you."

"I love you too Ty." I squeeze his arm and then walk into Nate's house to get two waters. I see Nate grabbing some waters and ask him to give me two.

"Oh, hey Lei." He hands me my waters and pulls me into a warm bear hug.

"Sup Nathan." I ruffle his hair.

We both walk out and hand everyone a water. I stand next to Ty and Nate, I turn to Nate and I try to spark a conversation.

"So, what's been going on?" I ask.

He shrugs, and takes a gulp of his water, "nothing, I've just been sitting on my couch, watching basketball games and smoking weed."

"Nate, when are you gonna stop?" I frown.

"I'm sorry Lei, it's hard. You can't just stop smoking, it takes time. If it makes you feel better, it's been like a couple months since I smoked." He informs me which makes me smile.

"Good job Nathan, I'm proud of you." I pat his back. He chuckles and starts making a conversation with Johnson.

Ty grabs me and pulls me away from the group. He wraps his arms around my waist, and I rest my head on his chest.

"I love you. So so much Lei. Like, I can't even explain it in words. You mean so much to me. My precious jewel, to keep and hold, and to love." He cheekily says.

I giggle, and he puts a strand of my hair behind my ear. He leans in for a soft kiss. His lips merging with mine and moving perfectly.

Fireworks going off in my body like they did the first time we kissed. He squeezes my hips, and pulls away. He rests his forehead against mine, and I run my hands through his hair.

"I love you too Ty. Like a lot." I laugh.

He gives me his deep chuckle and pecks my nose softly, before taking us back to the group to chat more.

*Nate's pov*

I frown as I see the two of them kiss. I hate my feelings, ever since Leila has been my best friend, my feelings have grown stronger and stronger. I can't stop it now.

It hurts, it really does. Watching her with him is hard. He's the greatest thing that's ever happened to her, and I can see it in her eyes.

I slide my hand over my face and groan.

Swazz nudges me, "dude what's up?"

"You know what it is man." I roll my eyes, Swazz is the only I told and the only person I will tell.

"Well, let's invite some girls over, and just make a party. You know you're always up for a good fuck." He chuckles.

"True true. Ight' let's do it." I smile at him.

He calls people, and after he's done, Leila and Tyler come towards us after their makeout session.

"Hey, what are y'all doing?" Leila comes in all giddy and smiley. I can't help but smile at her.

"Throwing an actual party."

"Oh, cool! Me and Tyler are gonna leave now because we both have work tomorrow. I can't be drinking or I'll be throwing up tomorrow morning." She tells us.

We all frown, "Alright see you later bestie." I hug her. And the guys do the rest, I bro hug Ty, and they both leave together.

I sigh and prepare myself for a long night.
