Chapter 8

Walking into Lucca's parents house Eve was stunned by how beautiful it was, she had been to their place a few different times for dinner but she never could get over how amazing this place was, being two stories with two large stair cases going to the second floor leading from the main entrance way, a large sitting room, and over ten bedrooms, which they were always hinting at Lucca that they wanted them to be used for their grandchildren. Of course they were not subtle about it at all, well guess they are getting their wish Eve thought to herself.

"Eve! It is so wonderful to see you darling please come in" Lucca's mother Liliana greeted the couple at the door giving Eve a big hug and kiss on the cheek before doing the same with her son.
Walking into the sitting room, Lucca and Eve sat together on one of there two seater sofa's after being greeted by Lucca's father Marco, in the same fashion as Liliana had, whilst both parents sat oposite them on a matching sofa. Lilianna stood to retrieve refreshments for everyone, bringing back in a chilled bottle of white wine with four glasses. As soon as Eve saw the beverage she quickly turned to look at Lucca, the couple suddenly nervous about having to tell his parents sooner in the night then they had expected.

"Here you are" Liliana said as they handed each of them a glass of the delicous looking wine.

"Uh Mum, Dad, we have some news to tell you. Eve and I are having a baby" As Lucca finished dropping their bombshell, Liliana jumped up, removed the wine from Eve's hand and grabbed her into a tight hug. As Marco got up to hug his son and Eve after Liliana finally released her to give Lucca a big hug much like the one that Eve had just been released from

"Ohhhh my first grand baby. I could think of no one better for Lucca then you hunny. Now when is the wedding? There will be a wedding wont there?" The last question was directed straight at Lucca, almost daring him to say they were not going to be getting married.

"It is actually going to be next Saturday, so we have just over a week to plan. We do only want imidiate family there Mother so don't go inviting everyone that you know. But we did think that you would want to be involved so if you would like to would you help Eve find her dress? As long with whatever else we will need to do, but remember small Mother please" Lucca knew as much as he asked his mother would probably not listen and invite a whole heap of people. He needed to think of a way to keep it as close family.

"Oh Lucca really? This is the only wedding I will get to plan, what about you Eve do you agree to his plans?" As Liliana turned on Eve she became nervous, she didn't want to disappoint her future mother in law but on the other hand she also didnt want to make a big fuss out of a wedding that wasn't being held to unite two people in love but because she was pregnant.

"Uh well I do agree with Lucca, we don't want to make a big fuss, just a small ceremony with the people that we love the most. I really hope that you are ok with this Liliana, I would never want to do something to make you unhappy but this is what we both decided was best for us and suited us the most." Eve tried to get her point accross without offending Lucca's mother, and by the smile that spread across her face, Eve guessed that she had succeded.

"Of course Hunny, if Lucca had described it that way I would not have thought of questioning the idea, I am so happy that you two are together, I always had hopes that you would come to your senses and admit to each other how you truly felt, it was so obvious"

The couple stood shocked, both thinking that what Liliana said could not possibly be true, that their feelings were not returned by the other. Lucca's father broke the shocked silence, noticing how uncomfortable the couple became, even though he was confused over the situation he thought it was best to come to their rescue.
"Lilly Darling how about you check on dinner while I quickly talk business, so it is out of the way then you wont have to listen to us all night" Marco smiled at his beautiful wife as she nodded her head and left the room towards the kitchen to check that the chef was handling everything.
