(I've been away for a really long time, sorry about that. Life got in the way lol. Anyway, here's chapter 4. It's kinda weird? And also shorter than the rest of the chapters, sorry about that. I'll try to make them longer maybe?)
It was really dark. That's all I thought when I woke up. I get kidnapped and the first thing I think of is it's really dark. It was, of course, because I had a dark piece of cloth wrapped around my head. I could hear someone coming, their heels clicking on the cold floor. I felt the air rush past me when they walked in front of me. I felt feathers glance my cheek. Suddenly, I was kicked in the side. Falling over, I let out a huff as the air was knocked out of me. I listened to some laughs and a stern cough.
"Remove it." A woman's voice rang out.
Someone pushed me back up again, so I was once again sitting on my knees. They began to untie the cloth that covered my eyes. The moment it came off, sunlight pierced my eyes causing me to squint. Once I regained my sight, I looked up to see a woman, in all black, sitting on a throne made of what looked like bones. She was beautiful. Carved cheekbones and black eyes, long black hair out up into a bun, and a slim fitting dress, made of what looked like raven feathers and skulls.
"Hello Ira. You're probably wondering, where am I? Oh, who has captured me and brought me to this desolate cave. Wonder no more, for I will answer all your questions." The woman stood up and walked closer to me, running her hand along my chin.
"I, am the Raven Queen, as you people call me. My true name is Rowena Kane. Call me what you like. I have stolen you away to this place for a deal. Something simple." She circled me, keeping eye contact.
I tried not to look at her, "What do you want."
She snickered, "I can sense what's coming. My ravens and pawns all tell me the King is getting ready for war. I for one am sick and tired of war. Makes me restless. I'd like to win this one personally. You are the key to the victory, do you know that? I've been keeping my eye on you since you first started getting stronger. My deal though, the reason you're here. I will side with you under one condition. You have to serve me. Don't worry, you won't have to stay here, but whenever I'm in need of your assistance, you must listen to my plea and come forth at once."
I looked at her in shock. Is this all she really wanted? It didn't seem like a trap.
"I... I need to think." I replied after a while.
Rowena nodded, "Of course. I, sadly, cannot let you go until you make a choice though. I have a room prepared for you though. Come with me."
She winked and nodded at one of her guards, who raised me up.
"Oh, untie her please. No need for that I would say." She placed her cold hand on my back.
I rubbed my arms where the rope had rubbed my skin. Rowena moved her hand down my arm and interlocked it. I blushed out of surprise. I looked up at her. She was smiling but looking straight ahead. I furrowed my brows and pulled my arm away. I could hear Rowena stutter a little as she cleared her throat and continued walking. She led me to the room and opened the door. It held a pretty plain black bed and a writing table in the corner. There were feathers scattered everywhere.
"Here you are. If you need food just ask." She didn't make eye contact with me as she closed the door.
I wasn't sad that I hurt her feelings, but I was confused. Was she flirting? Why with me? We just met, she doesn't even know me. Thoughts traveled through my head about the deal, about Sark and Ehs, about this Raven Queen. I got flutters when I thought about her.
"Impossible. I cannot like a villain. No. Ira you need to stop." I shook my head.
After a bit, I heard some loud heels walk towards my door. Rowena opened the door and walked in, closing it behind her. She stood near me.
"I.. Am sorry about the whole flirting thing. I could tell you were uncomfortable." She sat next to me on the bed, with great posture.
I just nodded slowly, feelings conflicting inside of me. One side of my brain said to kiss her, the other said to punch her.
"I can tell you do still find me... Admirable." A smirk formed on her face as she saw my face turn red.
"I d-- I don't!" I yelled, clenching my hands into a fist.
She just laughed. Standing up, I looked directly at her, fist in the air, ready to punch my way out of here. I slowly lowered my hand. Her eyes were wide. I shook my head as I grabbed her and kissed her hard on the lips. Her eyes widened even more as she returned the favor. Realizing what was going on, I quickly drew back.
I stood there, slightly frozen at what had just happened, "I-I-I- Don't.. Don't say a word."
She adjusted her hair as she stood up and walked past me, pecking me on the cheek as she made her way out the door, closing it behind her. I slammed myself onto the bed, angry that that had happened. I screamed into the heavy bed sheets, hoping she had walked away and didn't hear me.
"Oh my god what did I just do. Ira what the fucking hell did you just do." I slammed my hands into the bed.
