"Thank you for the lovely evening," he said as he gripped the doorknob of his apartment. "Have a good night."
She sent a wide smile at him in reply. "My pleasure."
Vanessa walked away to her own apartment and Indigo shut his front door and locked it. He leaned against the door, his forehead against it.
"It was better than I expected," he mumbled.
His hand grazed the surface of the door and he let out a sigh. An image of her came into view in his head, and it vanished as quick as lightning.
Indigo bit his lip to prevent a whimper from escaping.
"Go away..."
