I believe everything happens for a reason. One choice could affect your whole life, even when it's as small as which ice cream flavor you choose. Within one decision, your whole life could change. Just like mine.
Two years ago, Jane Crocker said hello to me in math class. At that time she always wore high heeled wedges, with a long black skirt that nearly reached her ankles, and today a rainbow striped long sleeve shirt.
"Hi, I'm Jane. I like your shirt." She said. I had to look down to remember what shirt I was even wearing. I had on my "Believe In Your Dreams" cream white long sleeve shirt, with a flower background.
"Thanks!" My face lit up. I had just gotten this shirt, and was beginning to wonder if it was a bit cheesy.
"Hey what did you get for problem fifteen?" She asked me. Then we started checking our homework together. After class, we walked to lunch, and she sat right next me. We then became friends. Just like that. We realised that we had basically all of our classes together, and ended up not really leaving each other's side. I didn't really have many friends, and she didn't seem to have much company either.
Now we are in 8th grade, nearly in highschool, and are still best friends. The crazy thing about Jane and I is that we are polar opposites. Jane always wears a long skirt or bright patterned leggings, with a crazy shirt. She loves the color black, and has nearly half of her dark brunette hair in a buzz cut, the other side in a short a-line bob. She is very blunt; definitely not afraid to speak her mind. She's also not afraid to "bend" the rules.
Me on the other hand, am a goody girl. I have dirty blonde hair, with pale skin.
I love to wear bright and pastel colors with a comfy cardigan, with my favorite pair of skinny jeans. I always wear my long hair down and straight, with a pair of black ankle boots.Without that cheesy shirt from 6th grade, we may of never became best friends. Crazy, right? Everything happens for a reason. Some better than others. And some are just plain. Out. Awful.
