you see that glass?
she asks her voice wavers
that glass is empty
yet it sits still
in silent despair
waiting for someone
to fill it to the brim,
but what could
a mere speck of dust
offer?
she smiles
as if my God
forbidden silence
was the answer.
but her tone
remains cryptic
my love for you
was like that
glass
but what did you do?
you just
stared in
silence
waiting for
me to fall
and break.
