It was just like any other boring day in school, that is, until I met her and my whole world changed forever. I clearly remember it like it was yesterday, but it was already over a year ago.

My heart melted when I met Allison for the first time, she wasn't that tall, had hazel brown smooth and flowing hair and sky blue eyes. She, of course caught the attention of every other guy on campus, but I felt like there was something special between us.

At home, I looked myself in the mirror and motivated myself, "You can do this, you can ask her to be your girlfriend."

I managed to gather enough confidence through talking to myself for a few more minutes and left for school. I was filled with dread waiting for lunch so I could pop the question.

The bell finally rang in what felt like forever and I started walking to the cafeteria. The first foot in and I could already see her beauty from across the cafeteria, she was with her usual group of friends.

I hesitantly walked over to the group, ahem, I coughed when i reached trying to get her attention. The whole table fell silent and all her friends stared at me.

"Oh hey Trent," Allie said with a bright smile on her face.

        "Hey"

"Are you looking for something," she questioned.

"I was wondering if I could ask you something," I said and my heart started beating harder in anticipation as I waited for her reply.

        "Sure"

"It's been a year since we met and I was wondering if you would be my girlfriend," I said as sweat started trickling on my face and I unconsciously began rubbing my hands together.

"I'm sorry but no," she replied.

I felt embarrassment all over and her friends began teasing, but when all hope was lost, light shone on the moment

"That wouldn't be called playing hard to get now wouldn't it," she added with a giggle and a smirk.

Then she got up, kissed me on the cheek and walked away, leaving her friends without a word. I didn't know what I was feeling but it felt good and I liked it.

I smiled to myself and with a light chuckle I went to get some food before Economics.

The rest of the day was normal but I couldn't stop thinking of what Alli did and why she did it but every second that ticked by, it made me more crazy over her.

When class finished I raced home on my bike and jumped into my bed feeling over the moon. I quickly got out my phone.

"Hey you," I sent a text to Alli.

I sat anxiously waiting for her to reply. While waiting I decided to just get some work done.

After a while of doing chem, my phone dinged, totally forgetting why I got that message, yep I don't usually get texted that much unless it's an emergency or if it involves school. Anyway, I picked up my phone and turned it on.

*2 messages from "The one <3"* Yeah that's her contact, don't judge me. I fumbled with my phone trying to unlock it.

"Heyyy Trent ," the first text read followed by,"I've missed you ;)"

My heart skipped a beat and i began feeling giddy, I got up from my study desk's chair and leaped onto my bed shrieking like a little girl, lame I know, but I couldn't help myself.

"Oh god, it's already 12!!!" she texted.

After a few hours of texting, I had totally lost track of the time. I was cozily wrapped in my sheets and was ready to sleep, but kept my eyes open to text her.

         "You're right," I replied.

"Anyway, I have class tomorrow morning, so goodnight <333" she sent a few minutes later.

         "Goodnight :)" I texted back.

I let out a long sigh and officially fell asleep feeling like the luckiest guy in the world. Till tomorrow.
