"...and you can find all the emergency instruction in the seat in front of you. Have a nice flight with South African Airways", the airplane lady said through the speakers. It was 10 a.m. and we were finally on the plane to Cape Town. We were supposed to take off at 8 a.m. but the plane was late so we had to wait 2 hours.

The plane started to move and soon we were accelerating to a high speed.

"I love this feeling you get when the plane lifts up in the air", Maryke said right before the plane lifted. My tummy was tickeling and I felt relieved. We were finally on our way.

I don't know about you, but I always eat awfully a lot when I'm in a plane. We've been up for about 1 hour and I've already eaten a packet of Nik Naks. If you haven't eaten Nik Naks, you have missed out on life. Nik Naks is some sort of maizé snacks with cheese taste on. It sounds like it's bad, but it tastes like heaven. We don't have them in Ireland, so I eat it a lot now when I can. I was actually munching on them right when the pilot said to us that we had to land now before taking off to Cape Town again. I looked at Maryke, she looked at me. Was there problems with the plane? Were we going to crash? What the hell is going on? We were already starting to go down, and I couldn't do more than try to calm down. I snatched the emergency instructions from the back of the chair in front of me.

"Oh Niall, come on, we're not going to crash", Maryke said and rolled her eyes at me. I just glared at her.

"I just want to be prepared if we crash. I'm not going to save you if we do though, because that attitude annoys me", I said and kept reading the instructions until we were safely on the ground.

"Sorry Ma'am, what's going on?" I asked one of the air hostesses when the plane had stopped and a voice told us to be remained seated.

"They had problems with a plane and some of the passengers have to go to Cape Town right now so they're going to come with us since we have so much space", the air hostess answered with a smile. "Also, I wanted to ask you if it is okay if one of the passengers sit with you since you have an empty chair next to you?" She added and I nodded.

"Of course, no problem", I answered and I turned around to Maryke to tell her what was happening but she was fast asleep. Oh well. I took out my iPhone and sent a text to my hostmum and my real mum. God, I missed my mum. My dad and brother too, of course, but my mum the most. She is always there no matter what, but she is so far away now. We try to keep in touch every week a few times, and skype at least once every week. I know it has only been around a month, but it's starting to be hard. I miss them more and more every day, it's not even helping to speak to them anymore, hell it even gets worse when I hear their voices. It feels like a punch in the face when I see their faces and I hate to see my mum saying "I miss you" and look so upset. It breaks me, I just want to spend a whole day with them. People say it gets better if I cry it all out or talk about it, but I don't know. It would be embarrasing to cry in front of Maryke to be honest. I might speak to my host mum about it.

"Uhm, hey, does anyone sit here?" A dark voice interrupted my thoughts. I couldn't help but to love the voice. It was dark and husky and slow and comforting. One of those voices I could listen to for forever. It was just nice, very nice.

"No, it's empty", I answered and looked up at the person with the deep voice. He had black jeans, black t-shirt on which he had put up the sleeves with security pins, a black jacket hanging over his arm and black sunglasses on. Something was familiar with this guy. He gave me a short smile and sat down in the seat next to me. I still couldn't figure out what was so familiar with him. He took out his phone and put on a Rolling Stones song, sighed slightly and leaned back onto the uncomfortable chair. Jesus Christ, he looked hot. His black clothes just suited him perfectly and his curly hair was pushed back and it looked gorgeous. I wanted to stretch out my hand and touch him but I guess it would have been quite awkward if I did so.

I felt the plane move, so I switched off my phone again and started to read a book, Looking For Alaska by John Green. Brilliant book, I was on page 43 and I already loved it so much. I'm such a girl.

When we finally arrived to Cape Town I had nearly finished the whole book and the hunk next to me was almost leaning against me in his sleep. I was totally fine with that. Maryke was still sleeping as well. I looked at her and looked for my bag and took out my phone. I took a few pictures of her sleeping and I was laughing evilly in my head.

"You shouldn't do that. If she finds out you're dead, I promise you".

I turned around and the hunk was now wide awake with a smirk. Gosh, that smile! I think I looked quite confused because he continued.

"My best friend took a photo of his girlfriend sleeping and she didn't speak to him for 3 days", he told me and started stretching his arms out before he yawned. "That sleep was so good". I nodded in response since I was too paralyzed. When he stretched, his t-shirt came up a bit and showed a tiny piece of his toned stomach and it made my inside tingle a little bit. Calm down god damn it.

The pilot said that it was okay to open up the seatbelt, so I did so and started put all of my things in my bag. When I was done the hunk was nowhere to be seen. He had gone without sayong good bye, such bad manners! I sighed and woke up Maryke. I laughed at her a bit when she stirred before going out of my plane. When we got our bags and was all done we went out to the cabs. Just when we had loaded the car with our bags we saw a limousine drive past.

"Oh I wonder who that is! Maybe it's Paris Hilton", Maryke said and giggled. She got weird when she was tired.

"Yeah maybe", I said and looked towards the limousine again, and you could see a little bit into the car. Wait. Wasn't that the same curly hair as...? No, it couldn't be. But it looked just like...? No, it couldn't be. I decided to brush it off and we finally took off to our hotel.
