How do you recover after betrayal? One day at a time.
~MarieIt was a beautiful day with no rain in the forecast and nothing but sunshine all day. I get myself up and ready for training at my new place of employment. My clothes are already ironed and wrinkled free, ready to put on. As I finished putting my outfit on I hear "Want Nana, Nana, mommy, Nana". This is what my daughter Shea called bananas. "Okay, I'll get it in a minute".
I get ready to leave for work and everyone yells out, "bye, see you later, love you". "I love you to", I say as I walk out. As I walk down the street, half way to work I realized I forgot the paperwork I needed so I turned back around. When I get back home my boyfriend said, " that was quick". "I forgot my paperwork, I gotta go", I said as I walked out the door.
As I walk home from my first day of training I feel good. I felt like I accomplished something and nothing could get me down......
When I walked in the house I knew right away something was wrong. My sister was sitting on the couch watching TV but had this look of solace on her face. I asked her what's wrong and she continued to say nothing. I knew my sister and I knew something wasn't right.
I looked around and noticed my boyfriend wasn't there and my daughter Shea wasn't in the living room with Carmen. I asked Carmen where's Jay she said he left. I'm thinking to myself that's weird cuz he's always home at dinner time. I then noticed that Shea was sleep in the room, "What the heck is going on?" I ask my sister again" what's wrong, cuz I know there's something you're not telling me." She said she doesn't want me to get mad. I assured her there's nothing you cant tell me.
"He raped me."......
