"What the," Adrien rubbed his backside, jumping out of his bed. "What the heck is on this thing?"
Adrien patted his hand along the bed, attempting to find the object that he had laid on. Finally, his fingers touched something leathery. It was a box. Adrien grasped it in his hand, bringing it up to his face, even though he couldn't see it. He felt around the box, trying to decipher what it was. Finally, he decided to open it.
He was greeted with a flash of green light so bright that even he could see it! Startled, Adrien threw up his arms and stumbled backwards, falling onto the ground.
"Heeeeelllloooo!" A voice yelled.
"What? Who's there?" Adrien asked, getting himself back up.
"Um, me!" The voice got closer. "Hi, I'm Plagg. I'm your kwami."
"My what?" Adrien stuttered, spinning around. "Where are you?"
"I'm! Right! Here!" Adrien heard something zip past his ear. "Hello? Don't you see me?!"
"N-no!" Adrien's lip trembled. "Who the heck are you?!"
He sighed. "I already told you, I'm your kwami! My name is Plagg! Do you not see me waving my hands?!"
"NO! I don't!"
He sighed again, muttering, "What, are you blind or something?"
"YES!" Adrien threw his hands in the air. He grunted, saying, "have you seen my shades?"
"Uuhhhhh . . ." 'Plagg's' voice seemed to be going all over the room. Adrien heard more zipping. "Here." Grunt. "They." Grunt. "Are." Grunt.
Suddenly, Adrien's shades were in his hands. He put them on immediately. "Oh thank God."
"Okay, so anyways, I'm Plagg. I'm your kwami." He got farther away again. "This ring," he was close now, "is your miraculous." The cold metal touched Adrien's hand.
"Okay . . ." Adrien said, unsure of what was happening. He slipped the ring onto his finger.
"This ring gives you the power to become a super hero named Chat Noir. You have the power to destroy anything you touch by saying, 'Cataclysm!' You have a partner named Ladybug, who has the power of creation. She can make anything out of thin air by saying 'Lucky charm!". You will be fighting these things called Akumas, which are people enslaved by the evil Hawkmoth. You'll need to find the item that the Akuma is in, and break it. To transform, all you have to do is say, 'Plagg, claws out!' It's simple, really."
"Oh, okay," Adrien replied. "Plagg, claws out!"
As Plagg, getting sucked into the ring, could be heard yelling, "Waaaaiiiittt! I wasn't done explaining everything yeeeetttt!!!!"
A rush began in Adrien's toes. A leather suit appeared on his body, taking the place of his normal designer clothes. He flicked his hand over his face, making a mask appear. He jumped, and a tail-belt materialized out of thin air. He ran his clawed fingers over his hair, and he had cat ears. Chat put his hand on his hip, feeling a staff.
"This is awesome!" Chat yelled, spinning in a circle. "Wahoo!" He jumped.
Chat landed back on the ground. Suddenly, his mind filled with a colorless image of his room. He could see everything. And boy, was his room huge! He could see his bed, his pool table, his rock wall, and his desk. He could even see his Braille tablets and tiny pieces of crumpled paper on the ground. For the first time in his life, Chat could see.
But as soon as it had come, it was gone. Chat had processed his room so fast, faster than he could ever have before, but now it was gone. He was blind again. But he knew where he was. He knew his surroundings. He remembered every single detail. And in his mind, he could still see all of it.
His jaw dropped to the floor. "I-I . . . I saw everything! I can't believe it! It's so . . . so amazing!"
Something in the back of his mind said, "well cats have great vision, don't they? It's only fair that you can see sometimes."
Fair? Yes. It was very fair. Did Chat like it? Oh boy, yes. There was only one problem.
"Wait, if I can't see all the time, how am I supposed to fight super villains?"
