Melody Pond was awoken by a voice, the same as every day for the past eight years. The voice belonged to a woman, and that woman was Madame Kovarian. This was the woman who had raised her he entire life. She wasn't Melody's mother, Melody knew that much, but she might as well have been. Madame Kovarian had always been there and Melody was grateful to have her.

'Get up Melody, darling. We have a lot to do today.'

Melody sighed. She knew exactly what would happen today. Today she would learn more about the man. That man. The most evil man in the whole universe. The man who had committed many crimes, the biggest of which, was stealing her mother.

Amelia Pond, companion of the Doctor. The Doctor had lied to her and manipulated her in order to get her to come with him. Madame Kovarian had saved Melody as soon as she had been born, but had been unable to save her mother. Melody lived in the hope that her mother was still alive, and that some day she would save her. Anything was possible.

'Melody! Your breakfast is getting cold!' Madame Kovarian called in an almost singsong voice.

Melody rushed out of her small bedroom and was surprised to see three men brandishing guns. She barely had a moment to register that they see there before they began firing. Melody dived to the side and the bullets followed her. Glancing all around as she dived, she saw a gun on the floor behind the three men. Barely landing on the ground, she jumped backwards and pushed off the wall, flipping through the air over the men. She kicked the middle man in the head as she passed over him, and managed to grab his gun. She landed, grabbed the second gun and pointed them at the backs of the other two men. Melody heard clapping.

'Well done child.' Said Madame Kovarian. 'You managed to turn that whole situation around in less than one minute.' She said it as if one minute was something to be disappointed about.

'Your breakfast is waiting in the next room. I promise there will be no more surprises this morning.'

Melody walked cautiously into the next room, still holding the two guns. Thankfully all she was met with this time was the wonderful aroma of fresh pancakes. Just as she sat down she heard a footstep behind her. Grabbing the chair she swung around and smashed it over the mans head. 'No second chances.' She said, before grabbing a pancake and biting into it.

Melody met Professor Trytellia in the projection room. This was where she came to learn more about the Doctor. She enjoyed learning about him and the Time Lords so that when the time came to kill him, she would know exactly how to do it. But, although she'd never admit it, it was interesting to hear about how many species the Doctor had destroyed. The defenseless Cybermen, who he had upgraded in an experiment-gone-wrong, the poor Sycorax who his Tenth incarnation had ordered be executed. And worst of all, the Daleks. The Doctor led the Time Lords into war with the Daleks and everyone died. Everyone except the Doctor. A murderer would kill the opposing side in a war. Only a maniac would kill his allies, his own people, as well.

'Let's go over regeneration again then shall we?' Said Trytellia.

Time Lords were an interesting species, but they were all evil, there was no doubt about it. A race who bargain with the Devil to cheat death. Coming back as a totally new person, but still alive. How could that not be evil. They had to be stopped. Thankfully only one person in the universe still had this power, the power to regenerate, and that was the Doctor.

'Regeneration is the ability of the Time Lord species to completely heal themselves and bring themselves back from the brink of death. However this causes them to change, both appearance and personality and essentially become a new person. Each Time Lord has a limited regeneration cycle of twelve regenerations, meaning they can have a total of thirteen bodies.'

'And how do we combat this?'

'As a Time Lord regenerates, they are essentially dead. It is only when the regeneration has completed that they are returned to life. If a Time a Lord can be killed during regeneration then they die. Forever.'

'And what can kill a Time Lord?'

'A Time Lord is very similar to a human, however they can withstand somethings more than a human can. For example a bullet can kill a Time Lord, but an electrical charge that would kill a human wouldn't kill a Time Lord.'

'But what do you know of that could kill a Time Lord before regeneration, which would be the preferred course of action.'

'But....a Time Lord can't be killed regeneration....can they? You're telling me that the are substances that can prevent regeneration from occurring?'

'Only three. And they're very rare.'

He clicked his fingers and a projection appeared in the air. 'This is the first. A gun containing four chemicals, scattered around the world which can together kill a Time Lord. Or so we think. We still have more research to do on that one.' He clicked his fingers again and the projection changed to show a kind of gold rippling energy.

'This is regenerations energy. A Time Lord has the ability to not only heal themselves, but also to heal others. However this causes their regeneration energy to diminish. They're essentially using one of their regenerations to heal someone else.'

'But.....why are you showing me this?'

The Peofessor looked at her, as if wondering if she'd forgotten something but quickly snapped out of it.

'Well, if you were able to get your hands on regeneration energy you could overload his body. Cause multiple regenerations at the one time.'

'He-they would be.....dead! During a regeneration!'

Professor Trytellia smiled. 'Now you're getting it!'

'But where could we get regeneration energy?'

'The look appeared on Trytellia's face again but disappeared even quicker this time. 'We have people working on that. We will be there of course. We have one of the Sisterhood of Karn working with us, it'll be no problem.'

'So what's the last thing?' Asked Melody

The projection changed to show a tree. The tree was completely black and even looking at it sent shivers down Melody's spine.

'This,' said Trytellia, 'is the Judas tree. The juice of the Judas tree is poisonous to Time Lords, it disables regeneration. We have scientists working on how that happens too, all to fight the Time Lords.'

Melody smiled. Three new ways of possibly killing the Doctor. Three new ways of getting back her parents.
