Chapter two 'Lily'

A strong hand grabbed my arm and dragged me back. I turned to see a teenage Lucifer looking at me worriedly, "Are you alright? What happened?"

"I tripped. I'm ok Luce... You need to put your glamour back up. No doubt Ben and RJ heard my scream and are hurrying over here." I said trying to keep control over my emotions, It'd been so long since I had last seen Lucifer in his true form. It was almost overwhelming. He looked at me with red eyes filled with worry and something i didn't recognize. He sighed and stepped back cocking his head head slightly to the side. a second later there was a shimmer And Lucas appeared just as Ben and R.J. burst burst through the trees. "Is everything ok?!" Ben cried as soon as he saw us. "Yes." I said, "I just tripped, i'm not sure over what yet. Thanks Luke, for making sure I didn't fall flat on my face." Luke suddenly gained an amused look on his face as he tried not laugh. more than likely remembering the last time i fell around him.

we were in the castle going to report the success of a mission and i tripped on the edge of a carpet. Lucifer wasn't fast enough in catching me and i fell. when i sat back up i was pouting and rubbing my nose. when we got to the head hunter lucifer told why we were late. we finished the report and as we were going to leave george, the head, asked if i was ok, telling me that my face was looking a little flat. i don't remember exactly what i said, but i was screaming and ranted over lucifer's shoulder as he bodily carried me out of the room.

"it was a boot." Startled i whipped my head around to peer at RJ. he was looking down at the spot where i'd tripped. It was only when i went to take a step forward to look at the boot that i realized Lucifer still hadn't calmed down. his claws were out and he was still gripping my arm. i gently tugged at my arm and put my weight on the foot id trpped with. He visibly relaxed and let me go, following me over to the boot. After a couple of minutes studying it i noticed a faint shine to the dirt surrounding it. It was at that moment the wind changed direction momentarily and blew towards us, and the smell of blood hit my nostrils. I stood up and said, " Luke and I'll bag this, I think we can get a bit more ground covered before it gets dark." RJ and Ben looked at me, " are you sure? It sounded like you took quite a fall..." Been said. I shook my head, " Luke caught me before I could completely fall flat, I'm OK." they nodded and left. I watch them go, they paused at the tree line and turn back and waved before disappearing. In a flash I was at the boot and Luke had phased back into Lucifer. I touched my fingers to the dirt. When I pulled them back they were stained red. I looked up into the glowing red eyes of the werewolf in human form crouched in front of me. Smirking I held my bloodstained fingers below his nose, He smelled and looked up knotting. I grinned and said," good boy." Patting his head with my clean hand I wiped my fingers off on my jeans. Lucifer scowled at me and batted my hand away. " quit that! I'm not a dog." I open my mouth to reply, but Luce cut me off. " don't even think about it." I shut it. I stood up and said, " would it be possible for you to track them?" Lucifer shook his head, "The scent of the blood is to do The scent of the blood is to old, it's also mixed with the dirt. I need a better sample, a streak on a tree might work. But it's getting dark. Let's put the flag up and return tomorrow, the timeframe might make the blood smell more potent. But I doubt it." I nodded and pulled the flag out of the backpack on lucifer's back. I drove the stake into the ground and attempted to put the flag on it but it was too tall and I was sadly too short. I debated on letting my wings out long enough to give me a bit of a boost, But before I had made up my mind Lucifer had already put the flag up for me. He laughed as I pouted and said, " come on we need to get back to Ben and RJ." A couple seconds later Luke stood in his place. I nodded and picked up the boot, put in an evidence bag and turned to start walking back. As we left I turned back to look at the flag. Standing taller than I was, the yellow fabric waving in the slight breeze.

Let me return to the car bed and RJ were waiting for us, watching us warily. Then stepped forward and nervously swallowed before asking, " what are the two of you? We forgot to ask you something earlier after we left the clear Inc., so we turned around to see you, Lily, crouched by the boot with wild red hair and Luke... Luke You deaged, became a teenager... What are you?" Luke and I glanced at each other before stepping slightly apart.
