"i'm gonna miss you when you move, sky" ashley lowered her voice to a whisper
"i'm gonna miss you too, ash. and don't think i'll ever forget about my best friend either." skyler lowering her voice to a whisper as well so they don't disturb the rest of the class and get caught
"I know you won't forget about me, i'm impossible to forget" ashley giggling and winking playfully at skyler
"Ain't that the truth"
"Skyler!" Mr.harrison looked at skyler with a look of dissapointment, his blue eyes now grey, "you're disturbing the class!"
"sorry Mr.harrison." skyler mumbled rolling her eyes
staring at the clock in hopes of it going faster, only a few more minutes, skyler thought twisting her shoulder length brown hair around her index finger and letting it untwist
the bell rang loud and clear that she was free for a few minutes to go for lunch and just on cue her stomach started to rumble and growl
getting up and basically sprinting out of class to get to lunch, ashley catching up to her side
"Someones hungry" ashley giggled, skyler's stomach rumbling louder
"I didn't have breakfast, don't blame me"

"Skyler, may i have a word with you?" Mrs.Adams looking kinda worried as she ran her hand through her long red hair
looking up from the book skyler had her face buried in
"Sure, Mrs.Adams"
getting up and standing outside the door the teacher right behind her
"Your grandmother called"
Grandmother? i haven't heard from my grandmother since i was 6, why would she call out of the blue and most importantly why would she call the school? skyler thought
"what did she want?"
"she said something had happened to your dad and you need to go to the hospital"
"wait what? did she say what happened? is he going to be okay?" panicking and running her hand through her hair, she can't lose another parent, she can't lose her dad.
going back into the class room and snatching up her book bag and running back out of the classroom
"skyler wait!" ashley called after her, grabbing her bookbag too and running after skyler

"is he going to be okay doctor?" staring down at her dad laying in the hospital bed, he had a heart attack
"he'll be okay, we're just gonna have to watch after him, good thing someone called an ambulance for him soon enough"
"who made the call for an ambulance?"
"no body knows that, apparently no one else was there besides your dad when the paramedics arrived"
"we need to get you home and let you rest hun" skyler's grandmother Brenda said patting her back
"i need to get home before my parents freak out" ashley mumbled
"he'll be fine, you guys can go home now and rest, visiting hours are almost over anyways"
Ashley and skyler hugging eachother goodbye before heading home to rest
