February 28th, 2013. 4 months after Polarized

Max was sitting in her and Chloe's LA hotel room. It had been 4 months since they left Arcadia Bay and they still haven't gotten a proper apartment. They kept on moving from hotel to hotel, trying their best to make by. But on the bright side, things were going great for Max. She was having a blast taking photos of the Los Angeles skyline. Skylines are like heaven for Max. She just loves the look and feel of the big city. Chloe, on the other hand, had been out for a few hours. She said she was going to go run some 'errands' while she was gone. A few more hours went by until the sun had set. That was another thing about Los Angeles that Max loved taking photos of. But that's besides the point. It was around 10:38 at night when Chloe got home. Once she opened the door, Max looked up from her pile of photos and chuckled. "Took you long enough." She joked. "Ha ha very funny" Chloe said in a flat voice, before laughing herself. She had a grin that was from ear to ear. "I don't like that look..." Max said cautiously. "What look?" Chloe responds, her voice obviously filled with joy. "That look. You only get that look when you're up to something.". "Yeah, but whoever said that something was bad?" Chloe hinted. "What did you do...?" Max's voice was filled with anticipation. "I..." Chloe stops. Max hits her shoulder playfully "Aw, come on don't do that! Tell me!" She says. "I.... Got us an apartment!!!" She exclaims, raising her voice as she begins to jump up and down. That was the first time Max had seen her do anything like that in years. But naturally, she was too overjoyed to care. She shot up from her chair and instantly hug-tackled her, smiling and laughing. They both look at each other as they spun across the room, smiling. "Oh, Chloe! You're the best!" She proclaimed happily. In a moment of pure excitement, pure emotion, pure joy and happiness, Max does something she hadn't done meaningfully in months. She kissed Chloe. She held her lips against hers for a second and a half, then pulled away. Her smile then faded away, her eyes widened as she realizes what she had just done. "Ch-Chloe... I-I didn-" she was unable to finish her sentence, as she was cut off by another kiss. But this time, it was not from her, it was from Chloe. And this one lasted much longer. 5.1 seconds to be precise. She finally pulled away to sees tomato red Max standing before her. "Does that answer your question?" Chloe says quietly. Max, still a tomato, chuckles as a small smile returns to her faces "Heh... Y-yeah... I guess so..."
