Rubble surrounded me and the sounds of war were everywhere. In the distance I could hear bombs going off, but I couldn't tell yet if they were getting any closer or not. My mouth tasted grainy, whenever I landed I must have swallowed a mouthful of dust. Sometimes in these scenarios, there would be someone here to debrief me as to what I was supposed to do. So far, today nothing was clear yet.

The passage of time between wherever I was and Link was really quite complicated. Some days I would suddenly wake up, and hours would have passed while sometimes only literally seconds would go by at Link. That's where it starts to get confusing. If the trainers and scientists watch me the whole time, how can they watch hours worth of video in just a few seconds? Anyway, somehow it works, so when I wake, there will be no telling what time it is.

Suddenly a huge black bird flies down from the sky, like a black curtain falling over war infused world. When I say huge, I'm talking easily eight feet tall with a  wingspan of about twenty feet. In the apocalypse I have always figured that many beings will change into something else, in order to survive. The bird is not a huge surprise, I mean just LOOK at me. I am not sure what I should do. Sometimes animals like this will be the thing I have to kill. It's supposed to make me for merciless I guess if I had to kill for example, a small cute kitten. That doesn't. It only makes me hate Link even more, and actually be grateful that this is just a stimulation, it hasn't actually happened in real life.

It's black eyes stare at me, soulless depths of the Dead Sea. I can almost see demons in them. The fiery depths of forever. Then, it cocks its head at me in an intelligent manner and suddenly squawks. The huge raven/crow then lifts off and from high in the air I can see it circling over something. A building. Hard shells of buildings were all around me and all of them seem to be reduced to rubble. All except one. I never noticed it before, because of the crow coming down, but that it was the last standing building in the city. I was surprised that the fighting hadn't started yet. By now it usually happened, but I had a feeling that this time was different. I just couldn't understand why. It might have just been a wolfish sense, or some crazy goose chase, but I followed the bird to the building.

Debris crunched underfoot, as I really made my way over to the building. I passed too many bodies to count. They also crunched underfoot. Every once and awhile the huge raven will circle back towards me to make sure that I still followed it. Suddenly, I am there. I stand in front of it, looking at awe at the grand entrance. From out of darkness there becomes a great light. Seriously. This building wasn't just the gem of the world. Inside I could see a glow coming from something, but I couldn't tell what it was. So, naturally, I crawled over the rubble, ( and one more unfortunate body ) and crept inside. The interior was amazing. Whoever the decorator was, I SALUTE you sister! Gold colored chandeliers with brass candle holders in them glowed in the main front hallway. This place was digging the vampire era. The chandeliers cast a distinct black shadows on the dark violet walls, making the whole room seem sinister.   The glow was coming from a room to the right. A door was firmly shut on the room, but the glow still escaped. Whatever was making this was some pretty strong magic. I slipped my hand on the silver doorknob, the coolness, and how smooth it was mad me want to caress it. Yes, I was in the middle of a parallel dimension, in which SOMETHING must have gone wrong to cause the apocalypse. But not only that, I was following a eight foot tall bird and caressing a doorknob, with who knows what behind it.

don't judge me.

I pressed my ear against the door to listen for any beeping, or an indication that this was a trick, and that I was walking into a trap with some sort of bomb. Nothing. I opened the door quietly as possible because really, there was no way that there couldn't be a trap behind this door. That's not the way Link works. Silence. Well almost silence. When I opened the door there just so happened to be a LOUD creak. It seemed to shatter the stillness in the building. However, I do have to shield my eyes from the bright light pulsing in the center of the room. I can feel a pull on my soul, I wanted to get closer. I wanted to see what I was looking at, but wolves are masters of the dark, the hunt. No way was I going to see what was in the light unless I touched it. I walked forward in a trance like state, my eyes closed, but my body knowing exactly where I was going. Cool metal closed around my wrist, and I found my hands, of their own accord, were fastening a bracelet onto my hand. Magic is something that I do not know about. I mean, I am a supernatural wolf, but that and magic are ENTIRELY different things. Once I tried to make my hands move on their own but it wouldn't work because for some reason I hit a brick wall. My brain wasn't able to send messages to my muscles. Uh oh.I had finished clasping the bracelet on my arm when a large crack appeared on the ceiling above me. Whoops. Apparently this magic, or whatever it was must have been the only thing that was keeping the building up. I willed my body to move, but I was still stuck under the whatever it was' control. It looked like I was about to have  very bad day.
