Chapter 3: well, that was fun...

I knocked on the door to haver her parents come to the door to get their daughter out of my arms.

I heard footsteps and the doorknob turned. Her mother was standing there. Oh! Hello dipper, I haven't seen you for so long! You have grown so much!! Ohh!" she came to give me a hug. I walked closer to her to help her remember her daughter was killing my arms. She looked down at her and smiled. "Oh! That's right! Uh, her room is downstairs to the left." I nodded and walked in, and took her downstairs to her room. Some other kids were downstairs too.

A little girl, about the age of 13 rushed up to me. "hi! I'm Rachel. Are you my sisters boyfriend?" I blushed. "Um...Well.." she looked at me. "Of course you are!! I like you already!" She hugged my torso. "Bye." She waved and her and all the other kids that I thought to be her freinds, all ran outside. I lightly smiled down at her and turned left to her room. I set Chloe on the top, which I thought to be her bed. As I was leaving I heard a small yawn.

"Dipper?" I turned on my heel. "Um, y-yea?" I asked a little embarrassed. "Thank you.. For helping me and taking me home.. Your arms must be dead by now! *Haha* well, bye." I stared wide eyed at her as she said all that and laughed. "Mhm." I said and left.

Me, dipper, and mabel, were walking through the forest and dipper was walking almost against me. I knew he liked me, I could see it and hear it every time we interacted. It was actually pretty attractive. Dipper had his head in the second journal right now, and mabel was gourding herself on smiledip for the thirteenth time this week. I saw something shimmer in the distance and I started running towards it.

Dipper looked up at me and smiled before grabbing mabel's wrist and swerving her from hitting a tree. Once they caught up with me, I was already in my punk tank top and my jeans were rolled up to My knees. I was playing, rather searching for the sparkling item I saw in this stream bed. Dipper smirked and kicked off his shoes and socks, took his jacket off, and walked into the water with me. Mabel shook her head to clear her head from all the smiledip drunkness that had been present a minute ago.

She smiled and took off her shoes and left everything else on. Dipper grabbed my hand and laughed as I leaned on him. I finally saw it. I grabbed onto dips jeans as I reached out for It. I touched It a little, which made it get rolled over all the rocks and started drifting with the light current. I gasped and went to grab it. I just fell on my face instead. Dipper leaned over and caught me before setting me on the riverbank. I coughed up water that went up my nose. I closed My eye and pointed at the thing dipper smiled, patted my back and chased it downstream.

Meanwhile as I was laughing at how sweet He was to chase something for me, mabel came and sat next to me. "Y'know he likes you right?" she smiled. I nodded. "Yea.." she hugs me. "Well, do you like him back?" she asked. I looked at her, realising that I've never thought if I liked him back.. "Well, I guess I do! Yep, no doubt here.. I love him back." I said And hugged mabel back. We suddenly heard splashing upstream. We looked up, expecting to see dipper coming back, but this was definitely not dipper.

It was a huge, manitor with dark Brown hair all over it's body. It looked up at us with a fish in it's hand. He growled and squished it with only the hand he was holding it in. Me and mabel gasped at the grossness of that and that it was approaching us. Now mabel was crying. I wasn't, but I was sure scared. Then me and mabel cuddled against each other, as it came yet even closer. As it was only ten feet away from us it pounced. Me and mabel screamed........ Nothing. We heard a body fall to the ground I opened my eyes and dipper was holding him to the ground as he was sitting on it's chest. It was growling at dipper now.

Then It.. Spoke?! *Grr* oh! You?! Where have you been? I havent seen you for a while now.." dipper scowled at him.. "Cut the crap! You just tried to kill my sister and best freind! That's not ok!! Bad, bad!" dip scolded it and it growled at him. Dipper got off and backed up. "Ok, you wanna fight?!" he yelled. It huffed and jumped at him dipper jumped just in time and landed on it's back, pushing in to the ground again. I laughed at how courageous dip was being right now. It exhaled and stood up, launching dipper off it's back. He fell on the ground.

Me and mabel gasped. He turned to us and weakly smiled. We smiled back and then frowned. "Dipper, look out!!" I yelled. He looked at it, it was running at him. He kicked it's jaw and it yelped. After running off, it cried out and disappeared. Dipper got up and walked over to us after picking his hat up off the ground. I ran over to him and hugged him tightly, so did mabel. He squeaked and we let go, He caught his breath and looked at me sweetly. "Are you guys ok?" he asked with worry laced in his voice. "Yea, other than the fact that We were traumatized halfway to dea-" mabel started but I put my hand on her mouth and smiled. "Yea, we are fine dip. Thank you.. I never knew that you could fight so good.. Where did you learn how to?" I asked and let my hand off mabel's mouth.

He laughed and put his hoodie back on, along with his shoes. "Lets just say, I've fought those guys before.."
I smiled and held his hand, "ok. And how'd you know him?" I said and he smiled. "I knew him, because I used to be part of their pack.. Not much to say. So that's why He went away, because your not allowed to fight a part of the tribe, so he didn't want to be seen." I laughed. He smiled and threw mabel her shoes and gave me my flannel and shoes as well. I smiled at him. "Thanks dip." I said and put them All on. He nodded and started walking with us back to the shack.

Dippers POV)

Wow, I never thought I could be able to fight for them. I did it mostly for Chloe, but for mabel as well. I couldn't just save my crush and let my twin get eaten alive. I would want to kill myself if I did that. I felt stronger each time that I saw her smiling, or looking scared for me. And she just asked me lots of questions, like I was the smartest person she'd seen before. I gave to tell that I like her.. Tonight. Yea, no list or anything, just pure wits. I hope I don't screw this thing up like I did with wendy.. She's in the past now, with Robbie..

Thinking that made me wanna punch the closest thing to me.. But that closest thing was Chloe. Nope not doing that. I helped her up and smiled at her. Her leg had healed by now and she is our best friend in the world now.

We do everything with her.. And I mean everything. She's having a sleepover with mabel tonight. Perfect time to tell her. I look over at her. She's closing her eyes while putting her hair up in a messy bun. I felt my cheeks prepping to blush. She opens her eyes and picks her phone up before looking at me and smiling. There it is. Suddenly I remember that I caught the thing she wanted to catch. I felt around in my pocket.. Aha! There it is. It was a small alium crystal. The rarest crystal in all of gravity falls, and she's the first one to find at least a little bit of one.

I walk over to her and lend her a hand to take. She went to take It, but then mabel called her over. She looked over at her and smiled before running up to her. I frowned. "Screw you mabel." I said as I walked past her. She gave me one of her energetic smiles and pulled Chloe along with us. Mabel let go of her arm and ran in front of us a few yards. I turned to Chloe and She looked at me and smiled. I smiled back and she suddenly slammed her lips to my cheek. I froze. She rested on my arm and chuckled. I chuckled too.. But nervously.
