(Normani's POV)

Things between Dinah and I have been good. After everything that had happened at dinner last month we've become a lot closer. She's like a bestfriend to me.

We've been hanging out a lot more, but we haven't really had any alone time, because Lauren doesn't trust Dinah enough to leave her alone with me.

Lauren says that she feel's like Dinah's up to something. I think she's overreacting, but it never hurts be to cautious.

So, It's been very platonic between us. I can tell that Dinah isn't happy about that.

I know that she really wants to take me out on a date, but she's being really respectful of my feelings and isn't pushing me.

I just don't want to rush into things and end up getting hurt. I'm a lot more weary of Dinah after finding out that everything Lauren revealed about her was true.

I know Dinah senses something is wrong with me, because I've been distancing myself from her. I don't mean to do it. I just don't want to get hurt or risk losing Dinah as a friend if we don't work out.

I really want to believe that Dinah has changed, but she isn't exactly making it easy for me. Whenever I text her she's always at a party doing God knows what.

I don't know how she even has time for classes, because she's partying every night.

I really wanna give Dinah a chance. She just needs to work a little harder at proving to me that she derserves one.

"Lauren are you even listening to us?" Ally asks the green eyed girl as she throws a fry at her.

"Yes, I am." She replys. Her eyes not leaving the screen of her phone.

All three of us decided that we had had enough of spending our Friday nights watching Netflix and eating takeout. So, we decided to go out and get some food, and find something fun to do.

But Lauren has been glued to her phone all day long. Whoever it is that she's been texting has her smiling like a complete idiot which is a rare occurance. Lauren is usually serious 24/7, and it makes me happy to see her showing her softer side.

"Lauren Michelle Jauregui put that phone down right now, and pay attention to your friends!!!"

Lauren looks a little caught off guard by Ally's sudden outburst, but she puts her phone in her pocket.

"Thank you."

Lauren mumbles a whatever and starts playing with her food.

"So who have you been texting lolo?" I ask my curiosity finally getting the better of me.

"Kehlani." She answers as her face turns red as a tomato.

"Who?"

I know I've heard that name before. It shouldn't be that hard for me to remember I don't know that many people.

"Danny's friend. The girl that was at dinner with us." She answers a little annoyed that I didn't remember Kehlani. Well that serves her right for acting like she can't remember Dinah's name.

"Oh."

"Speaking of Dinah-" Ally says putting emphasis on Dinah's name while sending Lauren a glare, "how are things going between you guys?"

"Things are okay I guess. I'm thinking about letting her finally take me on a date." I say looking down at my hands.

"Thats great!!!" Ally exclaimed. She seemed more excited about it then I did.
