Kira ran her fingers through her hair. Not this again.
She looked at her classmates' makeshift trash can that also happened to be her locker.
She bit her lip, eyebrows furrowed.
With a sigh, she slammed her locker shut and made her way to the classroom. Ignoring the sniggers that filled the classroom as she walked in, Kira put in her earphones and waited for the teacher.
Three weeks ago, she'd been so excited to move to Seoul.Kira squealed with joy (and started dancing like a chicken having a seizure)when she found out she'd been accepted for the Seoul-Delhi Student Exchange Programme. To her, this was a step towards fulfilling her dream to travel the world, meet new amazing people and have experiences worth writing about. She smile in contentment, daydreaming about all the new things she'd learn and the fun she'd have when she went to Korea.
Clearly, it wasn't going as she imagined. She wondered what she had done so wrong to be hated by her Korean classmates. She had tried to fit in with them but they didn't seem to want to accept her.
She sighed.
Someone tapped her shoulder. She turned around to see the boy who sits behind her, Jungkook, hand her a piece of paper and smile at her with...sad eyes? Surprised, she opened it to see a huge smiley face and 'cheer up' written on the side.
Confused and happy at the same time, she broke into a small smile. She looked to him with a grateful smile and mouthed a 'thank you'. He gave me a cute eye-smile and looked away quickly.
Hehe. Such a cutie.
Kira felt a little better than she was before. The day went by slower than usual. She hurried out of class as soon as the bell rang, but not before waving wildly at Jungkook, smiling like the doofus that she was.
He grinned at her, holding back his laughter. How cute. He waved back just as wildly as she did.
She smiled to herself as she made her way to the café she worked at.
Maybe I'll have a friend here after all.
