A/N: Before everything, I would just like to say a big thank you to _fangirl_bookworm_ for editing my story! Thank you so much for your help! Also, I've followed your advice and added a few things here ;) Now on to the story...
I whimpered in the corner as I watched him grinning. He had that evil grin he always had when he got home. I don't even know where he goes to everyday. He just comes home drunk with a tray of empty beer bottles.
Suddenly, he threw one of the six bottles, startling me; it's broken pieces scattering on the floor. Then he laughed. I kept my tears from falling because I knew he would do more if I showed that I was weak.
I was knocked out of my thoughts when he pulled my hair harshly then he slapped my cheek hard.
"C'mon princess say something mean to daddy," he challenged but I kept my mouth shut. I struggled to get out of his grasp but he just kept his hold tighter.
When I stopped, he took a knife out of his pocket, staring at me intently. My eyes went wide but I quickly covered it. I can't hold it any longer so I just let the tears flow freely down my cheeks.
"N-no daddy. D-don't" I stuttered
"It's not gonna hurt, baby girl."
I closed my eyes and waited for the pain to come; but there was nothing. I slowly opened my eyes and it was met by a bright light coming from a window.
He's gone. It was just a dream.
I looked around and noticed that I didn't where I was. The room was simple and looked like any other bedrooms. I wandered around and a familiar thing sat on top of a desk. It was a picture of me with my mom and her sister, my aunt.
Was I in my aunt's home?
I didn't know so I walked out of the room even though I was only wearing my pyjamas. I then found myself in a hallway.
"Umm hello?" I called out
The door at the end of the hallway opened and right then, I knew I was right. My aunt Natalie came out, rushing to me.
"Oh dear, you're awake" she muttered, hugging me
"Aunt Nat, what happened? Where are we? I-I don't remember anything. I don't remember why I'm here."
"I know, sweetie. Just calm down. You're in my home. But before I explain everything, let's go down to the living room, okay?" She said calmly
I didn't understand. I don't remember anything.
I nodded, following her down a beautiful staircase and to a living room.
"Breakfast?" she asked. I shook my head.
"Umm just tea" I smiled
"Like always" she chuckled
Always? Was I always here? I thought I lived with father.
She gestured for me to sit at the couch whilst she made tea. I looked around and saw how simple but beautiful her house was. The couch was white and the pillows were neatly fixed. The coffee table was free of dirt and dust and there was a giant bookshelf full of books. The living room also had a cozy feeling.
Aunt Natalie entered the room with two mugs in hand.
"So um just calm down okay, Lily?" she handed me my tea as she sat down.
Why was she always telling me to calm down? Was there something wrong? Well obviously there is. I mean, I was here with her and not in my home. I just don't get what's going on.
