Prologue

'How much longer?'- she pushed,  him,'How much more longer Vince!?'- she pushed him harder pinning him to the wall with a jolt. She brought her face close to that of his, pronouncing each syllable more clearly than I realized.
'I AM'- she hit him in the gut, 'DAMN LEAVING!!' -one more punch that cleared things out. I watched in awe as she released him...making him do a double over on the floor.

My parents...

I have been witnessing all this since I was eight. I saw them fight over silly issues such as this every day and night, with my mom winning over each of the affrays. And all I did was peek-a-boo through the ajar door,testify whatever happened inside.

But today seemed different. My mum finally gave up, pouring all these years of feeling she had instored...telling him she would be leaving.
Maybe today was different...

Its been 6 years now, that I'm a  fourteen year old kiddo-as my mother states me to be- and I've never been able to see them together,corroborate their love, neither for their own selves...nor for me.

But I was expecting my world to spin circles as she spoke the last of her words to him, just when I got the narrow chance to hide behind the drapes to exclude myself from her view.
'Its all over today Vince...' I heard her say as she drew a deep breath, turning to him before sighing...
'I'm leaving WITH Tessa, today-now and for...forever'
Forever...
Gods! Forever??

I could feel the prickles and coldness seeping into her voice,the-the tears that might have been welling up in her eyes before she shut the door hard behind her.
That did mean I wouldn't get the parental love I expected anymore...ever...
    As mom strolled up the stairs...I had this feeling of dread,and I knew it-I knew it...that from then on...my world had been changed forever....
