         "Take her."

It occurred to me now was probably a good time to speak, but for the life of me I couldn't get a single syllable to pass my lips.

The man suddenly gasped at something and looked out onto the street, cursing under his breath.  Turning back to look at me, he glanced down to the kid I was now sporting.  Darkness covered his face so I could see nothing but the curve of his jaw.  The lighting angled my way was most likely worse.  Could he even see me?

I heard a car engine in the distance and the man's hands squeezed harder, making me cringe.

"Take her," he repeated with urgency.  "Go."

        And then he was gone.

___________

It has been two years since Haven found herself in the possession of a baby girl.  Now she is moving back to Corvallis, Oregon to go to college at OSU, her original plan when she moved there the first time.  But now she has her sister and her daughter coming with her.

When Haven steps into the bookstore near campus in search for a job, the last thing she thought she would see is the father who abandoned her daughter.  Keaton's presence has Haven on edge, but will she feel the same after she is forced to spend time with the guy she once thought she hated?

The people Keaton has spent years running from are closer than he thinks and now his daughter isn't the only one being threatened.

This is a new story I have started and wondered what you thought from the description?  Tell me in the comments!
