"I bloody hate the train, he had to kill them didn't he!?" Zac screams. We all stare at the bodies as blood runs down the carriage towards us. I feel a tear run down my cheek as I look at Zac hold him and start crying a waterfall. Why the fuck did he have to start shooting. That fucking asshole!

The train stops ever so quickly.
"What the..." I say, hinting that I was pissed.
"Maybe Leo saw a walker?" Ian said as he looked out the window intuitively.
"Leo, what the hell was that for!?" I screamed out across the carriage. He opens the door slowly and walks out, something wasn't right.
"A kid is on the tracks..." He said quietly. You barely could even hear him.
"What Leo?" I asked.
"A kid on the tracks..." He said a little louder.
"What?" I sprinted across the carriage to the front window. "Leo, allow access to the doors please, this kid doesn't look right." I said scared. He walks over to the cabin and allows access to the doors. I open the doors as quick as I can. "Oi, kid! Get in here, we're here to pick survivors up, you can come with us!" I desperately scream. He sprints over as he clutches a bloody teddy bear. "Someone get me something to clean with, maybe even the first aid kit!" I yell into the carriage. I look down towards the two other carriages.
"What's happening Cameron!" Zac screams from the 2nd carriage. I point towards the kid. "Oh god..." He replies.
"Everyone get back inside the train!" I scream down towards the other survivors. Everyone gets inside as I hoist the kid up inside. "Are you ok kid?" I ask. He had no facial expression. He was just...blank. "Set up a bed for him." I say to Ian. He runs down towards the small hospital we made at the back of the carriage. "What is your name little man?" I asked him.
"Ted." He answered softly. I lick my thumb and clean some blood off of his forehead.
"Ted, you're safe with us, trust us. We'll do a quick check up on you and then you can go to the passenger carriages." His scruffy blonde hair was covered in blood. This kid looked like he was 8 years old and yet he might have seen more death than I have.
"Thank you." He says to me softly. As I walk towards Leo, I see some hungry walkers eating someone, or something in the park next to the train line.
"We might have to delay our trip for a while." I tell Leo. We were heading to the city. Our train carries around 20 people. All of us live here. Me, Leo and Ian lead the group. We operate the train line, looking for survivors and supplies, the city is our rest stop, and hence why we are going in that direction. Zac is my brother; have been together since the start of this. We bumped into Leo one day, repairing the train one day. He and I Ian was the first survivor we picked up along with his sister and cousin.
"Ian, you check if he has any broken bones, bites or cuts, anything that could lead to an explanation to why the hell a young kid like him could be covered in so much blood." I was just so surprised in how much blood was on this kid. All of the blood was dry too so it's been there for more than a day, at least.

"What are we going to do with him?" I ask Leo. With the amount of blood all over him and the facial expression he has, it looks like a family was almost wiped out. Then we hear a small whisper coming from Ted.
"Could I have a drink?" He did deserve water, to clean him up and to hydrate him; otherwise we might mistake him for one of them.
"Yeah, sure." Ian replies quickly and runs to the second carriage. I ask the kid to show what he has with him. As he takes out a small kitchen knife, Leo arrives with the water. With the red trousers that had 2 pockets, he stored a lot of things inside, a kitchen knife, a lighter, a crushed brownie, a small bottle of water and an IPod. As he gulps the water fast, we ask him to clean the blood off his face. It wasn't a pleasant sight, seeing an 8 year old just covered in blood, almost like it was straight out of a horror movie.
