Hey! This is a very very short piece of Flash Fiction I wrote just because I was bored. I might add more later not really sure...But here it is anyways. 

X Elizabeth

The children ran around the cold, sloppy mud, giggling and laughing as it oozed in between their toes. The rain poured down unrelenting, hitting their bare limbs, like little shards of glass. They chased each other around, each step in perfect harmony with the furious clanging of the rain on the tin roof of their house, where inside their mother was in front of the warm stove frying samosas, and making spicy sweet tea.

That evening, after the children ate their dinner, their father took them down to the river to help catch fish for their next meal. The children tumbled down the hill, screaming with joy, while their father a few steps behind them, at a slower pace.

When they reached the river, the mud-covered children jumped into the water, howling as they adjusted to the cold water. They dunked and splashed each other until it was time to go home. They walked back slowly, shivering as the wind licked their wet skin.
