The excitement wavered through the air, and in my bones. Every cell in my body seemed to scream. Today was the day that Adrien comes to my house! Sure it's for a chemistry project, but I'm going to take Chat Noir's advice and talk to him. The group is supposed to be here at 12:00. Alya of course, will be the first to be here (she always is). And she'll probably come at the same time as Nino. So Adrien is very likely to be the last person here.

It was 11:30 right now, so I was just waiting for the group. In preparation, I have already started working, so that I have more time to talk to Adrien and help my friends. I had just finished writing some notes when I heard the familiar bell down in the bakery and my parent's voices.

"Alya, and Nino. Welcome, my dears!" Said my mother.

"Marinette is up in her room, you know where to find her." My dad said.

At least, I'm pretty sure that's what they said. The sounds were a little bit muffled.

I heard footsteps, and sure enough, there appeared Alya and Nino.

"Hi guys!" I said happily to them.

"Hey Mari, I can't wait to get started!" Alya said. "Also, Nino and I are gonna work together, y'know, dating stuff. So you and Adrien are together ok?"

"Sure," I said quickly.

I then went back to doing my notes, I was about halfway done.

After what seemed like hours of waiting, he was here. Every time a customer had come in I twitched a little bit, hoping that it was him. Finally, I heard his melodic voice speak up downstairs and footsteps on my stairway. Each step he took, caused more and more adrenaline to be pumped through my whole body. And the butterflies in my stomach felt more like fighter jets as he closed in on my room.

Alya called out, "Adrien, in here!"

And then he was at my door, giving his usual polite smile and holding a satchel on his side.

"I'm ready to get to work!" He said, then sat down on my floor and started taking notes.

I explained that we were working together because Alya was with Nino and he nodded along while taking his notes. We finished the work quickly and briefly answered the questions, promising to indulge in the details later. About two hours later, we finished our notes, questions and were ready to plan out the presentation. Planning and designing the powerpoint took only half an hour, but it was nearing dinnertime, so I offered to let the group stay for dinner.

Each friend accepted my offer eagerly (probably because of all the really good food my parents make). And I told my parents who thankfully went along with it.

We practised our presentation multiple times and perfected each line until it was dinnertime. My parents knew that I liked to eat dinner in my room with my friends so they brought in a tray with some plates to eat from. I finally got a chance to talk with Adrien and my friends without it being work-related. This time the conversation was really fun. We joked about some of our teachers, did impressions of celebrities and spoke about our favourite and least favourite things. They reminded me of Chat; carefree, punny, and flirty, except they flirted sarcastically. I was sad when my friends left, but I knew I would never forget that amazing night, especially with all the awkward eye-contact with Adrien.

Hey imaginary friends I keep talking to, I'm sorry, I seem to have a habit of getting your hopes up about each chapter. The fluff was really low-key in this one. BUT I PROMISE, the next chapter is a lot better. It's long, and there may not be much Adrienette fluff in it, but this next one is going to get really dramatic. Trust me on this. If you're reading this in the far future, prepare yourself. You might cry (I may have shed a tear or two while writing)
