Pestering Parents #1

SAMANTHA'S POV

There I was, sitting on the stool by the kitchen table while my parents bicker about my birthday being in two days and me still not having a mate "Well you need to find him or you'll never move up in life" my Father said sternly looking me in the eyes, "and go outside more, your always working in your study!" My mother said with a shake of her head. "Well maybe I just want to be independent, not having to be in danger of dying or being rejected, maybe I don't want to go through that pain..." I said with anger in my voice.
My parents looked at me with shocked faces, but those looks soon softened up a bit. "I'm sorry darling your right" my mother said lightly as she gave me a hug, which I happily accepted. My father was still a bit upset but you know boys, they don't get it like girls do. "How about going to see Cadence, she's probably still asleep" my mother spoke up as she started walking away towards the pack house doors. "Uh yea..." I mumbled as I stood up and started walking towards Cadence's room.

Once I reached her door I only stood there, I didn't move. I shook out of the sort of trance I was in and knocked a few times, "Go away..." A groggy mumble came from inside the room, "Get up, I'll make breakfast" I said this because she will only get up if I promise to make her breakfast in the morning, otherwise she will bother me all day about it.

"DEAL" Cadence said a bit louder as the door swung open, I shook my head with a slight laugh, " what do you want?" I hummed as I shoved her back into the room to get dressed, Cadences room was quite big- not bigger than mine- but still big, she had a queen sized bed which I happily flopped down on, "Why can't I just stay in my comfy clothes??" She said as she waved her arms around frantically, Cadence always hated getting up and getting dressed in the morning, after all I've known her for years. "Ok how's this?" She said pulling out a pair of patterned leggings and a pure white crop top, I just shrugged and laid down.

Cadence headed into her bathroom and changed, once she emerged she had changed fully, dressed and all. "Now go and make me some eggs" she said with a groan, well I don't have any other choice if I want to live in peace and quiet tonight. "On it Ma'am" I said jokingly as I opened the door again and walked back into the kitchen, time to get my cooking on.

After I finished serving Cadence's eggs I started on the dishes, in a matter of not even 10 seconds Cadence was on her second plate, I know to make at least 6 eggs because miss piggy Cadence over there likes shoving any kind of food in her mouth. After she was done she placed her plate in the sink and I washed it, which that was the last plate, "ok do you have any plans?" She said as she finished chewing the left over eggs in her mouth.

I gave her the look that meant 'Didn't I teach you some decent manners?' And she instantly shut her mouth. "Thank you, and no not really- other than a small walk?" I piped up a bit more, my usual quiet voice was enough for gave a quick nod and ran to the room where we kept our shifting clothes (clothes that let you shift but when you shift back you still have them on) "got the clothes" she said as her head peaked out from the door entrance. "Well then let's go" I said as I started walking to the main door, barefoot. Barefoot because I wasn't ripping another pair of shoes this week. As soon as we reached the main yard we stretched a bit, my morning 'thing' as my friends and family call it, as soon as we are done we burst into the nearby forest area.

Who knows what we could find in here, after all it's only Three days till Halloween and old pack legends say that young wolves go missing for weeks at a time and come back with a totally different attitude and not the good one that your parents try and teach you...a kind that no one would ever want to deal with, a more evil sense to it, so let's see what we find...

Hey friends! Call me Nimbus... It's what all my other friends call me, I would have made more but it's late and I may or may not have school tomorrow? Hehe well look forward to the next chapter because things may get a bit...interesting... *very evil laugh*
