'Another day at the Librarby, or Library as its actually called.' The Story Teller pulled his trench coat collar closer, even though his fur kept out most of the bitter wind and rain. The coat was still a welcome edition though, especially when it was raining this bad.

"You're late, and dripping wet! Take your coat off right now so I can help you dry off" the human librarian, and also one of the Story Teller's closest friends, whisper yelled, holding a plush towel in her hands as he walked through the doors, leaving a trail of water behind him.

"Wanted to go for a walk, get my head straight, I apologize for being so late" The Story Teller hung his jacket on the coat rack and started waking towards his usual spot in children's section for story time, grabbing the towel from the librarian as he went.

"Oh, we're in the conference room today." The librarian pointed to the back of the library where a small conference room was tucked away. With a small nod the Story Teller walked to the room, rubbing his wet ears and fur as he went.

"Flower? What are you doing here?" The Story teller asked the red headed girl, who was smiling deviously at him once he opened the sturdy door to the conference room.

"She wanted to hear the story of...what happened, in the Underground" the librarian poked her head in behind the Story Teller, making him jump slightly.

"How much of the story does she want to know?" The Story teller looked nervously between the two, setting the towel down on the small table in the middle of the room.

"I want to know all of it, or at least as much as you know" Flower piped up. Her startling green eyes stared expectantly at the Story teller, and he felt his resolve break.

He sighed. "I know all of it. Every detail, every part. Since well, I'll tell you in a minute" the Story Teller turned and sat down in the chair across from her.

"I'm going to tell you a collection of true stories known as the Tale of the 9. It's not a collection of happy stories, in fact a lot of kids and people die... And most do not have happy endings and deal with some pretty depressing topics. Are you sure about this?" The story teller looked up into those startling green eyes and saw the resolve. With another deep sigh, he continued.

"Ok then, let's start at the beginning. You know about the war between Humans and Monsters eons ago, right?"

"The humans won, locking the monsters under Mount Ebbot because they were scared." Flower quickly summarized the tale. "We just learned about it in our history class"

"Good, then you have a basis for our tale. About ten years after the war, something happened, a child fell down into the Underground. Her name was Lilly, and she had a very unique soul energy at the time. Her soul was one of Patience"
