Chapter 5

6 years later....

Present time
3:22 p.m.

Claire Waylan POV

I take a big step out of the airport as I deeply inhale the Paris air.

Finally I arrived in Paris! I've been wanting to come here since I was young. Paris was always my favorite place even though this is my first time here but I always thought that Paris was the place to be. After I was informed that I got in a school here, right away, my parents encouraged me to take this opportunity so I did.

And you know maybe while staying here, i'll bump into the ONE. I mean c'mon this is the place for romance, right?

I looked around. Around the place where I was going to live.

It won't be as easy to blend in here since I have lived in my home country for so long and i'm used to being around my parents but I'm already 20, I have to start my own and live my own life.

"Here! " I yelled towards the taxi coming towards me as I put my right arm up high.

The taxi driver seemed to notice because he stopped beside me. He rolled down the car window and said,

"Come in."

At this point, I don't really know where to go but back when I was at the airplane, I did some research on condos I could rent and luckily I found one with a perfect amount of money for me to pay.

Since I didn't know the name of the building, I showed the taxi driver a picture of it and luckily, he knew where it was located.

As the taxi driver drove around the city, I just looked out the window and appreciated the view that I was seeing.

It's absolutely beautiful.

We also came across the Eiffel Tower and it's much more breathtaking than seeing it in pictures. I couldn't wait to start living my life here.

We continously drove and when the taxi stopped in for a red light, I notice something out the car window.

As I was looking out the window, a picture of Got7 seemed to have caught my eye. Their poster was put in the window for display in one of the stores on the street.

I didn't really expect that they were still selling Got7 merchandise, they did disband 2 years ago. After Jinyoung quit the group to focus more on acting, every member did too, they said it was Seven or nothing.

I admit, I miss them. They were the only thing that I looked for every single day. When I knew they were disbanding, it broke my heart. Especially for Yugyeom since Got7 is gone, I don't even get updates on him anymore or know where he is.
I kinda miss him.

But I'm sure wherever they all are, they're all doing well. Hopefully.

I looked away after remembering their disbanding and fell into a nap after the taxi started moving again.

After a few minutes, I woke up to the taxi driver saying "Wake up, miss!" And realized that we have arrived. I stepped out of the taxi  and quickly said goodbye.

I headed in the building, it was simply designed but it was made well. I went to the front desk for some information on getting my own room here.

"Hi, is it possible to rent a room here?" I asked the man behind the front desk.

"Yes. But do you have the payment with you?"

"Yes--wait you're letting me rent the room now?"

"Hm...i thought you wanted to rent a room here. If you don't--"

"No, no. Wait, I'll just get my money."

He's not in good mood today.

I handed him the money I had and he gave me the keys to my room which was on the 4th floor, Room 102.

It's wierd how rules work around here. I didn't know they would let me rent as soon as I ask.

Anyways, the good thing is that I have a place to stay now.

I entered the elevator and pressed the button, 4th floor and patiently waited till I got there.

Ding!

I walked out the elevator and right away, I started looking for Room 102 and not so long after, I found it. Room 101 was infront of it aswell. I entered the key and twisted it then it opened, welcoming me with the smell of a new room.

As I entered, i looked around.

It's not bad.

I thought it would be much worse but to be honesg it wasn't as bad as I imagine.

The whole room was in minty green color wallpaper with wooden floor. It had most of the furniture like t.v, couch, coffee table in the living room which was on the left when you enter the condo. Had a table and chairs in the dining room with a hanging mini chandelier over it, and the kitchen essentials for the kitchen of course. It also had one bedroom with pale white color wallpaper but no furniture tho and the condo had aswell as one bathroom.

I could work with this room, just a few fix here and there and it would be good.
