"9 school day's left before the dance, so get your dancing shoes on and get your date so we can boogie", the intercom repeated as the lady spoke into the little gray microphone. "Another day, another dollar...for me at least." My teacher said as she passed out tonight's homework. Some people studies the homework and others just ripped it piece by piece and used it for spitballs. The bell rang for lunch as I put my homework in my folder. Since I don't have any friends in 5th period, I meet my only friend at the only table left when 8th and 9th graders sit down to eat. Even though, most people take their cars to get lunch, the cafe is still full. "I hate school so much.", my friend Sarah yelled over the people behind us. " I know. I wish they would SHUT THE HELL UP.". I went from talking to Sarah to yelling at the kids playing and shouting about pokemon. Everybody completely stopped talking and looked at me. " Who said that?", our "scary" principle yelled through the microphone. Everybody pointed there fingers at me. " Mr. Jones, my office now!". I took my tray and dumped it. Sarah waved at me with a worried smile. After a walk through 3 halls, we finally got to his office. " Is there a reason you yelled shut the hell up, Mr. Jones.". I crossed my arms and said," I lost it....I was trying to talk to Sarah and I just got mad and yelled.". He looked at me with an eyebrow arched," I have never seen or hear you act like this.". The opened his desk and pulled out 2 passes, 1 for lunch detention and the other for class. "Have a good day Mr. Jones, don't let me hear you say that again. I also want to see you in D218 for lunch detention. I walked out the office and Sarah was waiting for me. "I have lunch detention tomorrow." she snatched the paper from my hand. "Just great, now I have to eat alone.". Her eyes began to fill with tears. I don't understand how she doesn't have a boyfriend or more friends. Everybody thinks she's the prettiest girl in the school."You need to talk to other people sarah, you can't just push everybody else away.". She looked down at the floor. " Ok, I'll talk to people tomorrow. Bye." I waved back at Sarah. As I walked down the hallway to 3rd period, people stopped and looked my way. A few just kept talking others completely stopped talking."What wrong with him?" I heard somebody whisper to another person. I continued to walk through the halls taking "complements". Lunch detention isn't that bad.
