Chapter 4: My parents are gone

"Finally we're home" I said while opening the door. "So are you going to keep your not liking me shït up now that we're home?". I heard her ask following me. "Language, Zane this is not an act sweetheart, I don't like you, never will. The acting part was happening at school" I went to the living room looking for my parents but they weren't there.

Zane was following me all this time as I climb the stairs to look for them on their room. "Whatever you sat" Zane replied lifting her hands up. "Mom! Dad! I'm home!" I shouted while entering their empty room.

"Mom! Dad! I said I'm home!" I was starting to vet irritated looking for them on each and every room but found nothing, then I went to the only room I did not search......the kitchen. Zane still following me around starting to piss me off.

I saw a note on the fridge that reads like this:

Jenifer

Me and your dad are out of town and won't be back soon. Sorry we didn't tell you before but we have no choice but to do this. You can't know where we at but all you need yo know is that we're doing it for you.

With Zane on your side you will succeed. Make us proud.

"Jenifer what is that?" Coming close to me. "It's nothing" hiding the letter behind my back. "Nothing....nothing at all". My eyes were daring her to come close as I took a step back trapping myself and made it easy for Zane to snap it out of my hands.

She read it. "So this means we got the house to ourselves?". "No! This-this means I'm stuck with you! What does mom even mean saying with you by my side I'll succeed!? I don't need you or anyone for that matter" "Jenifer-"
"Just go Zane, go to wherever you came from and let me be!"

I said all of this trying to push her out but failed.

"Bïtch get your hands off me before shït goes down on this house. Look I'm not here so your white ass can like me I'm here because two human beings who had a heart took me out of that hell and gave me a home! I ain't going nowhere so learn to live with the fact that I'm here to stay!"

Then she made her way up the stair case super pissed. I suddenly felt bad but I reminded myself that this is my home she can't just come and take everything away from me.

[Zane called someone as soon as she reached their room]

"I don't think I can tolerate this shït anymore!"

"I know what I'm suppose to do but she is making my job harder than it is!"

Lowering her voice.

"No I don't want that, I'm sorry I complained"

"No! No! Please I am going to do it, goodbye"

"This is going to be hard" then she suddenly thought of something. "Wait, I have an idea!" Dialing on her phone.

"Um hey girl"
