Emma's POV
"Hey Ruby?" I cautiously walk into the room. She sits on my bed, her arms crossed, with a serious expression on her face. When I am close enough she pats the space next to her indicating for me to take a seat. I do as she signals? ,because frankly I'm scared.
"What is going-" I start but she interrupts me.
"Emma, I mean this in the least mean way possible, but please don't bring Graham into our room often, unless it is an emergency or something!"
I want to laugh at her request but I see the seriousness in her eyes.
"But why?" I ask.
"It's for your own safety." She replies casually.
"What?"
She sighs. "I take it you saw and felt the anger and tension in the room when Killian and Graham were together?" I nod my head and she continues, "Well if they are together again Killian might just kill Graham and you will be caught in the crossfire. So it's best to keep those two far away from each other."
She finishes and I try to make sense of what she just said. "Why does Killian hate Graham so much?"
Ruby looks at me, then breaks eye contact and looks at the floor. "That's not my story to tell, if you really wanna know ask Killian."
Well I guess I will never find out then.
"I can't even ask him for directions, or to turn around so I can change, let alone ask him why he hates my boyfriend. Plus I don't think he would even tell me if I did, I don't know him."
"You changed infront of Killian?" Ruby asks her eyes going wide; completely ignoring most of my sentence. "When did this happen?"
"Earlier before you came into the room, but he turned around" I shrug, not getting why it's a big deal.
"Did he flirt with you or look at you?" Ruby raises her eyebrows.
"No that would be perverted if he did, and I don't think he's like that, he seems...sweet"
Ruby's eyes go wider and I swear they are now just pupils. "Wait you don't like Killian do you!"
"No... But why would it be so bad if I did?" I look at her curiously.
"Trust me you don't want to fall for him, he's a playboy and also a badboy; he will hurt any girl that crosses his path, and... I don't want you to be one of them, you seem too clever for that"
"But you're his friend? And why would you be friends with someone who sounds that awful?" I look at her confused. Killian didn't seem like a playboy, a badboy maybe, but not a playboy.
"Because... he wasn't always like this. He was in high school; always getting into fights and causing trouble, but that was because..." She stops speaking and contemplates whether to tell me whatever she was about to say but I guess she decides against it as she changes her sentence, "...but when we came here, it was like a fresh start and he changed back to the Killian I knew when we were younger...until that bitch ruined everything" Ruby sighs and I narrow my eyes, trying to figure out what she means and what is going on. "But he isn't a complete jerk once you get to know him"
"He didn't seem like a jerk now until you said that."
Ruby looks like she is about to say something but is interrupted by the door opening.
I recognise the person walking in as Belle, Killian's twin sister.
"Hey Belle" Ruby smiles as she walks in.
"Hey" she replies as she moves to Ruby's bed and takes a seat.
"Emma this is Belle" Ruby jestures and I laugh.
"I know. We kinda met... Well I saw you when I met Killian"
Belle smiles at me and waves a hello and I do the same.
"So are you coming to the party tonight Emma?" Belle asks.
"What party?" I say looking between her and Ruby.
"Omg I completely forgot" Ruby laughs, "basically every year on the first day back at college a party is thrown at an abandoned house in the woods. It's really fun and lots of people go, you should totally come!" She looks at me expectantly.
"I don't know, I'm not really the partying type-"
"-no! You are not sitting in this small dorm by yourself all afternoon" Ruby retorts, "Please come?"
I sigh but smile, "Fine"
"Yay!" Ruby and Belle both grin.
"But when does it start?" I ask.
"7" Belle answers looking down at her watch, "We have 1 hour and 15 minutes before it starts, but we can leave at 7:15"
"Great" Ruby responds. "I hope you're excited for your first college party!" She grins at me and I smile nervously.
I have never really gone to a proper party before. Sure Storybrooke had parties but they were small, as it was a small town; but here there are way more people than probably in the whole of Storybrooke, and they probably all go to parties all the time.
Belle gets up and I look up from the floor to her.
"I'm gonna go find Will and then get ready" she says as she starts to make her way to the door.
"Who's Will?" I ask.
"Belle's boyfriendddd" Ruby sings, and I watch as Belle's cheeks turn bright red.
"Shutup" she huffs as she walks out of the room quickly, before we can get another word in.

So I tried to update as I haven't in ages bc of my writers block. This chapter doesn't actually count as a proper chapter imo because it is just a filler chapter b4 I can get to the parts that matter.
I'm sorry if it's badly written but I'm tired and sleep deprived so yh😅
