"'Rosa!!', Scraggy shouted, jumping up and down in panic..."
When everything had first started the day before, everyone was in shock. No one could believe that I was kidnapped like that. Then, once the group set off, everyone else was left behind filled with worry and uncertainty. Throughout the day, they continued life as usual, but couldn't go on without fearing for the group's safety. That night, Icy hosted a party at the city beach, when the sky was shrouded by an ominous presence. Then, everyone filled themselves up with hope and exclaimed it through speakers. They were joyful at the first explosion and the sky becoming clear again, assuming that it was a sign that evil had been defeated. But all those positive feelings died off when the second explosion happened. No one knew what that was. Now, everyone was back with the worrying and uncertainty, alongside being heavily tired. The party ended around 3 in the morning, with the second explosion happening another 3 hours later. Everyone was exhausted.
Icy's room was a bit of a mess. Manga collections were scattered all over the floor, and random papers lay everywhere. His room was rather small, being on the 66th floor of a high-rise apartment on the edges of the city. On his drawer was a Cyndaquil plushie, and on the desk next to his bed was an actual Cyndaquil in its Pokéball.
As the sunlight of the early morning flooded through the window, changing its angle ever so slightly, it hit Icy's face while he was sleeping, waking him up.
After stretching and saying good morning to his Cyndaquil, he got up and went to make himself some breakfast. Icy is rather strange in that he not only needs very little sleep, even after last night's party, but his breakfast habits are something else. Whereas everyone else would have cereal or pancakes or eggs, Icy eats slushies for breakfast. A bit unusual, but hey, that's Icy.
As he grabbed the remote to turn the tv on, he saw that there was a commercial for an Xenoblade anime coming out next year.
"Wait what," Icy said as he placed the slushie onto the table. "Interesting."
After a bit, Icy finished breakfast and went to take a shower. He got dressed, and went outside for a stroll with his Cyndaquil. Along the way, he met up with Danny, who was still very tired from the party.
"Hey Icy..." Danny said, yawning.
"Hey Danny," Icy said. "Tired?"
"Yeah... how are you not tired?"
"I'm used to it," Icy replied with a shrug.
"Cynda!" Cyndaquil added joyfully.
"Well, have they come back yet?" Danny said.
"I don't know..." Icy said. "That's what I want to find out."
The two made their way over to the park just outside the city, where people were already enjoying their morning. Ximena, Infinity, Larz, and Sylvee were playing at the volleyball court, while Ally, Insanuu, and Timson were practicing for band. Danny then decided to have a Pokémon battle with Icy, and they went to an open field just outside of the park. It was a huge field, and, without many trees nearby, the mountain range was more clearly visible.
"Go, Cyndaquil!" Icy said as Cyndaquil rushed out into the field, the fire on its back blazing furiously.
"You got this, Bagon!" Danny said as he threw the Pokéball and sent out Bagon.
"Alright! Cyndaquil, use Tackle!"
"Bagon, dodge it and use Headbutt!"
The battle was rather short, and Cyndaquil was at its tipping point in almost no time at all.
"Heh, I knew we'd have the upper-hand," Danny said to himself before commanding Bagon one last time. "Okay, Bagon, use..."
But just as Danny was about to finish it off, he stopped.
