Nonchalant

Chapter 6

By the time Q and I got into the apartment and started working it was 5:45 or so. We both were downstairs unpacking some boxes, me in the kitchen and him in the living room. But after I emptied the first box or two, my stomach growled, loud. So loud in fact, that Q heard it. "Holy shit, was that you?" He asked with a chuckle, stopping what he was doing. "It's my stomach! I'm starving!" I said, laughing after.

"Well maybe we should take a break and get something to eat?" He suggested. "Yes, that sounds amazing." I replied. "Just give me a minute or two to change." I said as I started for my upstairs bedroom. "Yeah me too." He said starting for the door. "I'll be back in ten minutes!" He yelled as he went through the door.

By this time I was already upstairs, tearing through my suitcase looking for something suitable to wear. I decided that I would change into a pair of ripped, light blue skinny jeans, with a white shirt and a red flannel to go over it. Then I topped it all off (even though it wasn't that great) with a pair of white keds.

After my attire was taken care of, I moved onto my hair. It was in a messy bun, but it looked kinda cute, so I kept it in. After I was done, I went back downstairs with a minute to spare. I grabbed my purse from the kitchen counter and then went to wait by the door.

Exactly one minute later, I heard a knock at my door. I opened it with a smile. "Right on time." Q smiled back as I exited my home and locked it. As we walked towards the elevator I examined his outfit. He had on a gray colored t shirt with perfect fit jeans, a Yankees hat and some navy blue vans

We then made our way to the elevator. "So where are we going? Did you have something in mind?" I asked as we came up to elevator. "I did actually." Q replies as he pushes the down button. "Well where is it?" I asked as we got into the elevator. Q smiled cheekily. "It's a surprise." I was surprised at this, I mean I barely knew the guy and he was already taking me out on a surprise date. Wait, is this a date? I questioned myself.

I decided it couldn't be and moved on. "A surprise huh?" I said as I crossed my arms and leaned against the back of the elevator. "Ya know, I barely know you Q, and you're trying to take me to a surprise location? This kinda sounds like the beginning of an abduction story." Q chuckled as I did the same. "Well I can assure you that's not what's going on here."  He said as the elevator stopped.

We got out and made our way through the lobby. We then exited the doors and started on our way. Surely to a place that was a destination, rather than a black van.
