The sound of my phone wakes me up from my long sleep

•good morning beautiful it's Justin, from the mall
•it was nice running into you yesterday
•I know we just met but I would like to get to know you better, can I take out to lunch?

Sweet but, how did he get my number? I remember him giving me his number but I never texted him. I set my phone down and get in the shower, my legs still sore from all of the walking around and shopping we did yesterday. I Finnish my daily hygiene routine and pick out an outfit to wear.

I walk out my room and down the stairs. "Good morning mom" I say as I kiss her cheek. "Good afternoon, baby girl..it's 12:01, I guess you guys had an great time yesterday" dang I didn't even know it was that late, what time did I get in? I grab a bowl from the cabinet and cereal & milk
And sit at the table. "Yeah we had a great time, I'm glad I met them" I smile as a pour the cereal in my bowl.  Speaking of food I remember Justin's texts. I grab my phone and reply...

Cassidy -*good afternoon lol, yeah I would love to get some lunch.
C-*if you don't mind asking how did you get my number?

He replies immediately.

Justin-*I have my ways 😉, I'll pick you up at 2:30, see you soon beautiful

I giggle and set my phone down, maybe one of the girls gave it too him and I didn't notice. "who are you texting? Jaden?" My mom asks smiling as she shoots me a looks that I can't quite grasp. " No, this guy justin, I met him yesterday at the mall. He asked me to lunch today". I beamed thinking of him. "Mmm..I haven't met him yet so I guess you not" my mom says looking down at her phone, scrolling. "Mom that's not fair! You let me go to Jaden's house for dinner.why is this any different"  my voice starts to raise .

"First of all, who are you talking too like that? Second of all I was with you and so where his parents when we went over there for dinner. I don't know this kid you just met him yesterday and I'm just supposed to let you go off with some boy?" I sigh and continue eating my cereal. "Cassidy I understand your in a new setting and you want to make friends but you cant go place with people I don't know and expect me to be okay with it..I don't know where you are...all of us are new to this place"

I take a second to think and realize that she's right...but I'm still going to lunch tho, that's not changing. "Okay fine you can meet him...but it's nothing serious or anything we're not talking like that" I clarify to her. My mom sighs and shakes her head.

I Finnish my cereal, rinse it out in the sink and put it in the dishwasher. I go up to my room and call willow. She answers on the last ring. "Geez took you long enough" I say laughing . She laughs with me "shut up I like the ringtone I have for you" I shake my head "your such a weirdo, but your my weirdo" she awe's "thanks babe" a short silence is there and the both burst into laughter.."lol so what's up?" She asks  trying to be serious but can't control the giggles.

"Oh yeah so you know that guy Justin we met yesterday at the mall? Well somehow he got my number and he asked me out to lunch" she screams in joy! "YASSS GET SOME!!!Wait wait wait..how did he get your number, you only talked to him for a quick second...I didn't give it too him, and Kendall and ky don't have yours.." ....'I have my ways'  I think back to what he said...hmmm thats weird.

"Willow I'll call you later okay" I say still in a daze trying to piece together everything. "Alright cass have fun and be safe on your date" she makes kissy noises and hangs up the phone. My room is peacefully quiet..and my eyes get droopy...great as if I need anymore sleep.
