Elementary Friends

"Yah Hyeji what's with your hair, it looks like a photo frame HAHA"  The school bully, Hwanhee mocked my haircut

I have to admit that the salon cut my hair weirdly, now I have short hair and bangs, I used to have long locks but they cut it too much

I'm usually very talkative but the school bully is really intimidating so I couldn't really defend myself

I can see the other kids laughing as well, this is so embarassing

"Boo hoo look she's a crying photo frame now, do you want me to call your mama." He laughed out loud with his friends

"STOP IT" Suddenly a kid appeared in front of me,
"Hwanhee, should I tell everyone about your little accident."

"What accident are you talking about."

"That peeing acci-" before he could continue his words Hwanhee cut him off

"Oh Hahaha that one... uh I fell in front of your house, didn't I Seungjun-ah?" He laughed it out awkwardly making weird eye signals to Seungjun

"No you didn't" Hwanhee covered his mouth and slung his arm to Seungjun's shoulder

"Yes I did...guys come on there's nothing to see here, class is almost starting now, let's go." He took a serious glance at Seungjun before he went away

He's such a coward, why was I so afraid of him

"Are you okay Hyeji?" Seungjun..I don't think we've ever talked before hmm..

"Yes of course, thank you Seungjun."

"Don't cry anymore" He patted my head
"I will protect you from now on" he smiled warmly at me, he seems like a good guy, I wonder if we could be friends

"Y-yes..." I stared in awe at him

That was the start of out friendship in first grade

And now?

He's like a really noisy brother to me.
