*Please note, I wrote this for people who like to read, but not whole GIANT LUMP-SUMS...You know? Like, I wrote this how the speed of REAL LIFE goes...It's difficult to explain, Lol. THIS IS MY FIRST STORY EVER, so I know there's "Lack of detail," or whatever. I hardly have ANY time to write, so I wrote what I could. And if there's any flaws, please tell me nicely? Lol.*

Prologue

Some say he exists, some say he's only a myth. Some even say they've seen him with their own two eyes, and remain haunted until the dreadful day he arrives. "Once you see him, it's too late; you're going to die." Or are you..?

Cadence was just about your average, everyday teenager. Just about. As she gracefully walked out of her english class, her long, curly blonde hair tussled with the breeze of her motion, her black, poofy skirt ruffled along the smooth skin of her thighs, and her converse's gave her a bubbly rhythm to her step. As she bent down at her locker, the edges of her hot pink panties were showing a little. Her boyfriend sneaks up behind her and playfully pulls her skirt down to cover them.

She gasps and turns around quickly, "Oh! Jason! I oghtta smack the hell out of you!" She laughs.

"Your favorite color was showing again." He chuckles and gives her his sweet grin.

"You could've just told me!"

"I know, but I just can't keep my hands off you." He tries to be stupid, but sexy.

"Oh, whatever, you!"

They laugh and hold hands as they both walk out of their high school for the last time.

"I still can't believe I'm with you..." Jason says in a soft whisper.

Nervously, "W-....What do you mean?" She ponders.

"You know you stutter every time you're nervous or scared?" He giggles. "Anyway...Nothing. I just can't believe I'm with you. That I have you. After all these years, you're mine. My best friend. Who would've known..? And we've been together for, what, three and a half years? It's incredible. YOU'RE incredible. I love you, Cadence." He kisses her forehead.

She gets teary-eyed and lays her head on his chest, "I love you, too. I always will. No matter what...Nothing can tear us apart."

They lay together in the grass of their towns' little park. They watch the stars together, seeking zodiacs and constellations, watching them flicker like a lightbulb that's about to go out. They laugh and get annoyed about the tiny stars that are there, but you can't look directly at them to see them, or they'll disappear. She felt like they shared the most special love in the universe.

"Hey, mom just messaged me and said that I have to go, and that it's getting late. But she said that since we have to pass your house anyway, she'll just pick me up from here and just drop you off."

"Are you sure that won't be hassling her? I only live 5 minutes away, walking distance..."

"Babe. My mom will be fine. She's the one that offered, anyway!" He smiles and lovingly tucks the hair covering her face behind her ear.

"Okay."

They smile and passionately kiss.

"Do you think she's ready, master..?" She asks, pale-faced and with no emotion, her eyes focusing on nothing; she's zoned out. She has been, for quite awhile...Sometimes she wonders where she is, how she got there.
