Don't Forget Me

Chapter 4: Starbucks

Marie 

Well this is awkward...

"Hey Marie!" He smiled, how can he be so chill about this? I mean when you see your ex that you think you are in  love with when in fact you have lost your memory and are now married? 

Wow my life is confusing! 

"Um, hi Chase." I said awkwardly. Niall was looking at him like he was confused. Like he wants to hate him but he can't. 

"Niall what's up?" 

"Nothing much man, you?" Niall smiled. Wait, my husband is friends with my ex boyfriend? Ok now I'm confused. "How is little Emily?" he smiled, looking at the baby in Elanor's hand, 

"Do you want to hold her?" Niall smiled and nodded as he took the small child. She is adorable and can't be more than six months old. 

"Hi Marie!" Elanor said, pulling me into a hug, 

"Hi." God I'm awkward! 

"Oh shit! I forgot, I'm sorry!" she said blushing when she realized that I actually don't know her at all. 

"It's ok I did too." I laughed, winking at her. 

"How are you doing?" she asked, sitting beside me as Chase and Niall talked about the latest football game. 

"Good. I'm getting little bits of my memory back. Just like moments that I remember." I smiled. 

"That's amazing!" she smiled brightly. "And I know that right now I look like the girl who stole your boyfriend but-" 

"No Elanor. It's ok, I may not understand it but damn you two look happy." I smiled, I may still have these feelings for Chase but I can feel them going away and when I saw him with Elanor I couldn't help but smile. He just looks so happy. I wonder if that's what I looked like with Niall? 

"Call me El." she smiled. "And we have to hang out soon!" 

"How about tomorrow? I can't go back to work until next September." I smiled. Technically I can go back to work in four months but in four months it is June and there is really no point in going back for three weeks so the school said I can come back in September as long as I pass this test because I lost my memory they need to know I still know my stuff. 

"That sounds amazing. Chase is off so he can watch Em!" 

"Is he still an engineer?" 

"No, after you dropped out he realized how stupid it was that he was only doing what his parents wanted to a switched into police foundations." 

"Really?" I smiled thinking about the endless amounts of CSI he would make me watch with him. "That's amazing!" 

"Love, we better get going, if Em doesn't get food we will have World War III!" Chase laughed. "I'll see ya soon mate! Later Marie!" 

"Bye!" I smiled as El hugged me and said goodbye and that she will see me tomorrow. 

"Are you ok?" Niall asked. 

"They are really cute together!" I smiled. 

Niall smiled, "Yeah, they are."

"ONE SECOND!" I yelled, tugging my boot on as the doorbell rang. "Ni I'll be back in a few hours!" I yelled hearing a faint "Ok!" from the living room where we have been camped out all morning watching all The Big Bang Theory's that I missed. 

"Hey girl!" El smiled as I opened the door. 

"Hey El you ready?" she nodded and we walked to her car. "Where to?"
