Our Last Dreams
[Natalie]
"Stop," Natalie whispered when something touched her behind, big and soft. Then her eyes open wide and turned around as quickly as her bruised body would allow. She had forgotten that Carter had crawled in bed with her earlier that night.
Carter laid there sound to sleep, one arm tucked underneath his head and the other sprawled on the opposite side. It wasn't him that touched her, a pillow sat between them.
Innocently, Natalie laid back down and watched Carter as he slept. He was so peaceful as he breathed in and out, his chest falling each time he did. His golden blond hair was a mess and covered most of his face.
He really is attractive.
Sophie had mentioned that he was hot and she could agree, but up till now Natalie hadn't realized just how true that really was.
"You enjoying the view?"
Surprised, Natalie yelped quietly and then balled up her fist as Carter smirked. Despite her short burst of anger she could feel her cheeks turn red from embarrassment. "Of course not. " She turned her back to him and starred at the wall.
She could hear Carter shift his weight behind her. It almost sounded like he had gotten up and was resting his elbow on the bed. "Liar."
Natalie gritted her teeth. This wasn't a time for him to be arrogant. She didn't say anything but press her head to her pillow even more. Hoping to fall asleep soon, though that probably won't happen.
Something wrapped around her waist and pressed against her side and pulled her closer to him. She looked up, tense. It was Carter holding her. Starring out her with a look that made her angry and shiver at the same time. He wasn't going to let it go so easily.
"Let go of me. I told you not to touch me!" Natalie hissed and tried to wiggle out of his grip but it was no use. He just held her tighter and so close she could feel his warm breath on her cheek.
"Not in till you tell me."
Natalie refused to tell him. But even if she would have, she didn't have time too. Carter had gotten so close, and without warning kissed her on the lips.
Natalie didn't know how to react, her mind was blank. His lips were soft against hers. She pressed against his chest trying to get him off but he didn't move.
It wasn't so bad. Natalie finally gave in, stopped fighting and kissed him back as best as she knew how too.
Carter smirked and pulled back. "Now are you going to tell me?"
"No."
Carter rolled his eyes and kissed her again, but this time not staying long. He moved down her jaw to her neck with small butterfly kisses that made Natalie feel weird. Butterflies in her stomach.
Carter chuckled when she made a strange, embarrassing sound and turned red. The bed above them creaked, reminding them of the sleeping Sophie above.
His hold her brought her closer to him as he kept kissing her. But Sophie was stirring above and Natalie could just imagine how awkward that would be.
"Carter?"
He didn't stop, and truthfully she didn't want him too.
_____
[Carter]
"Carter," Natalie whispered. Carter could just faintly hear her above Sophie's snores.
Carter turned around and looked above the pillow between them and tapped on Natalie's shoulder. She wiggled around almost like she didn't notice. Still caught up in her dream.
"Natalie? Wake up," Carter said and shook her shoulder a bit. That got her attention. Her eyes fluttered open and she looked up at him with narrow eyes.
"What- how?"
"You said my name," Carter shrugged and wiped the sleep from his eyes. "What were you dreaming about?"
Natalie's cheeks turned red and turned away from him. Carter watched her perplex and laid back down. "Oh don't tell me it was, you know?" He waited to see if she would finish his sentence but she didn't.
She just sat up and wouldn't look at him. "It was, wasn't it?"
Natalie turned and looked over her shoulder. Carter smirked and did his eyebrows in a creepy suggestive matter. "I don't know what you're talking about."
She stood up and began to walk away. "Hey that pillow I said touched your butt? that wasn't a pillow!" Carter called out holding his hand up, but she waved him off and shut the door behind herself.
"What was all that about?" Sophie asked, her head peeking down at Carter.
Carter shrugged. "Not exactly sure." Though he was pretty sure she was dreaming about him. Most likely nude.
"Want me to come down there and see?"
Carter laughed. "Oh no, stay up there. I'm going back to sleep."
With that Carter fell back asleep and Natalie wandered around the house by herself, watching out for any Lights, thinking about her dream.
