"Well of course she's different. She's over 100kgs and is blinder than a blind man. Oh wait a minute, I get it. You're only doing this out of pity aren't you?" She tilted her head back cackling eviliy before glancing down at her manicured nail before gritting out, "right Jamesie!"
He didn't respond, giving me my clear answer. I lifted my glasses up slowly, setting them on top of my head. They had started fogging up when the tears began to trickle down my face. "Of course it was all for pity," I thought, laughing bitterly at the memories of our time together, of me telling him I loved him, of him taking my first kiss. It was all a lie. I was nothing in his world.
I removed my glasses, placing them gently on the marble counter before walking out through the front door.
Tears still flowed freely down my face as the winters icy breeze trickled my cheeks and right there I made myself a promise. I Kali Fae will forget James Brady.
