As I crept down the cold dark stairs to this cruel and usual punishment I hear a noise creek...
"Hello? Who's there?!" I say as my heart beats faster and faster. I see a shadow of a person "I know you're there, you don't have to be afraid."
The shadow moves into the light and I see its face. A girl about the same age of me tucked her short, brown hair behind her ear. She looks like she's been down here for ages, her head looks over at a small dirty mattress in a corner surrounded by old, empty cans. Her body is draped by brown rags.
"Whats your name?" I asked
"Umm T-Theo." She said in a quiet scared voice.
"What are you doing down here?" I asked
"Uh w-well my parents kicked me out when they found out I was-" Theo said
"Gay?" I interrupted
"N-No. Transgender."
"Oh," I said kind of surprised, Iv never met anyone who was transgender because I guess Iv always lived in a very Christian community, where everything was apparently a sin
"W-Well not really transgender, more like Genderfluid," Theo said
"I'm sorry, what does that mean?" I ask, sounding very curious.
"I-It means I'm both male and female. Wait, here." Theo says leading me to her bed. Theo starts to shiver.
"That's so cool! Hold on here," I say opening my backpack, pulling out my dark red jacket, and handing it to Theo. "Here, you look cold"
"T-Thanks," Theo says. She or He smiled as I showed her or his kindness. I smile back.
"So wait do I call you he or her?" I asked
"T-Them is fine," Theo says
"Oh," I say shocked, not in a bad way but I guess I'm just learning so much today. Theo and I just talk and talk she told me about their life story and I told them about mine, I told Theo about Ame and why I was down here. I heard Theo's Stomach roar.
"Are you hungry?" I asked
"Y-Yeah. I-I haven't eaten in days." Theo says as their stomach grew louder.
"Uh here I don't have much but," I say handing Theo a half eaten Nutella Sandwich
"T-Thank you so much!" Theo says, eating the sandwich in such joy. I smile. Theo and I keep talking more and more, It's awesome talking to someone who really gets me.
"LUNA?" I hear someone call "LUNA!"
Theo hides behind my back. Then I hear a BANG.
