Ryan was driving to his best friend's house in the middle of the night. Why, you ask? He just needed to drive, to get away from the nightmare that was his new girlfriend. But then he passed her street. The only one of his ex-girlfriends that had broken up with him. He remembered her smile, her hair, her eyes, everything about her.
No, Ry, don't think about her. It's over, in the past. Besides, she probably hates you, he thought, and drove on. But what didn't know was that she had seen his headlights, and didn't hate him anymore.
She was just wishing that he would come back. Wishing that she had never broken his heart like she knew she had. Wishing that he knew that she would never, ever forget him. Ever. She was just wishing that he was with her, and knew that she still loved him.

Ryan was sitting, awake, in her room. Sure, it was two am. Does that mean she shouldn't have been awake? She didn't care. She saw headlights pass by her window, and she thought of him. The boy who she brashly broke up with after a stupid argument. They had a strange love, but it was love. And she still loved him.
She was just wishing that he would come back. Wishing that she had never broken his heart like she knew she had. Wishing that he knew that she would never, ever forget him. Ever. She was just wishing that he was with her, and knew that she still loved him.
She was wishing that they could both remember how they fought so hard to keep their love. Wishing that he knew she missed him too much to be mad over that stupid argument anymore. She was just wishing that he was with her, and knew that she still loved him.
Ryan looked out her window, and saw the stars. She wished on every single one of them.

Ryan had always known how to frustrate her, but also how to love her. He had given her so much, but then again, so little. Their insane love had always made him come back. And for right then, that was all she wanted.
