Day: 06
In the morning we get ready for the third part of mission at least this time it's just some secret hydra base to go to. And it's close enough to drive.
When we're done getting ready we go down stairs to the lobby for breakfast to go. Then we get in the car and start the drive to the secret hydra base.
The first couple minutes are quite but I couldn't keep my mouth shut.
"So, what was it like back then?",I ask.
"I'm not too sure I understand what you're asking.",he says.
"I mean, what do you think of the world today. It must be like the future to you.", I say.
"It's not that different. You get used to things changing after a while. But then some things never change.", he replies.
"And what doesn't change.", I ask.
"The secret bases, people's thoughts and the whole I'm a hero thing.", he says.
"Your referring to Steve aren't you?",I say.
"Possibly, but he's always been that stubborn.",he says with a smile.
"He Can't run from fights.", he adds
"Stand up for what's right.", I reply.
"Try's to save everyone.", he says
"Language watcher.", I say.
"Captain concerned.", he say as we're both giggling.
I quickly glance over then continue to watch the road.
When we arrive at the hydra base we park at the back of the building. But notice that shield got here before us.
I get out of the car and walk to the shield car parked a couple feet in front of us.
"What are you doing here Maria we had this covered.",I say in an angry way.
"Relax, Fury sent me , he says shield should handle this one.", Maria says.
"But we had this under control!", I say.
"Yes you did, but you should get back to avengers tower. We got this. Okay?", Maria says.
"Okay",I quietly say as I walk back to the car.
"We're going back.",I say.
"Back to the hotel?", he says in a confused way.
"No, back to avengers tower.", I say.
"Is this because of me? I tried not to mess up the mission.", he says.
"No it's not. It's just.....just what they think is right. We're going to the airport to catch a flight home.", I say.
I start the car and we start to drive to the airport. The whole way there was silent.
When we got to the airport we got are seats and flew back to New York and he was still silent. Then when the plane landed we took the shield car back to the avengers H.Q.
"Regardless of what Fury thought I decided to stay at avenger H.Q for awhile to get away from all the shield nonsense.", I think to myself.
We both get out of the car and walk to the door. I swipe my ID card on the door and walk in with Bucky following behind me.
"Your back early", Sharon says to me.
"Well, if I isn't Steve's best friend.", Tony says in a bothered way.
"Hey!", Sharon say elbowing Tony as they both walk away.
"It's not your fault, he just hasn't gotten over everything yet.", I say to Bucky.
"It's fine. I didn't think he would right away.", Bucky replies.
"I'm not too sure what room you want but I'm sure there's an empty one.....somewhere.", I say.
"It's fine worst comes to worst I'll have to sleep on the couch.", he says in a playful attitude.
"Do you want me to show you around?", I ask.
"Well, is it okay if I explore the place first.", he replies.
"Go ahead. Let me know if you have any questions.", I say as he walks away from me.
I walk to my room and unpack my backpack onto my bed. I put the flash drives into my hidden drawer next to my bed.
Then I have a quick shower and go to the training room. As I enter the room I see Bucky practicing on a punching bag.
I watch for awhile then walk over.
"Pretty good I see. Do you want to train together.", I ask.
"Like, practice fighting.", he says.
"Yes. In the ring and everything.", I say.
"Sounds good.", he says as we walk to the fighting ring.
