I didn't wish for a normal day, but neither did I wish for a totally different day. But what I really didn't wish for, was to be knocked by someone so hard that I crashed to the ground. And that's exactly what happened about midway into Monday.

"Lunch! At last!" Twyla exclaimed.

"Food, glorious food! Something, something, and something," Jan sang, earning a playful shove from me.

"Ai, no singing. We really don't need that song stuck in our heads." I shook my head as the four of us rounded the corner.

Out of the middle of nowhere, I felt a body knock into me, sending me crashing to the floor.

"What the freaking holy mother of!" was the first thing that came to my mind as my body throbbed.

Pushing myself into a sitting position, I carefully moved my body parts, hoping with all my might that nothing was broken or injured. To my luck, nothing hurt that much, maybe just a bruise here and there but nothing broken. Thank God. I couldn't afford for anything to be broken right now anyway. Not with a big track competition coming up.

Now that that was taken care of, I turned to glare at the person who knocked me down. What met me was an unfamiliar face leaning very close to mind.

"What the freak?" I asked again, pushing myself back a little. "Personal space, ever heard of it before?"

"Sorry, I was just going down the hall - I didn't think that there was anyone else - I was just running a little late - "

"Save it British boy," I snapped. I was not in the mood to listen to some idiot babble about why he slammed into me in the hallway.

I took Janaya's offering hand and picked myself up. "Watch where you're going next time."

With a final glare, I turned around and stalked down the hall. Within a few moments, I heard three pairs of feet by my side.

"Can you believe the audacity people have these days?! Crashing into people in the hallways, sending them flying onto the ground!? I was so lucky I didn't break any bones. Scratch that, he was so lucky I didn't break any bones. Cause if I did, he would have been dead," I ranted. The girls stayed silent.

After a few more minutes of me fuming about the guy who had crashed into me, we had reached the lunchroom.

"Okay, I'm done. But I'm still not going to forgive him," I said, rolling my eyes.

"Alright A," Jan said with a small smile as she pushed the big double doors into the lunchroom.

"I mean, it was an accident," Sirena commented as we passed a table of outsiders.

"So?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Well, he didn't mean to bump into you Lia," she pointed out.

"Bump?!? What do you mean bump?! I crashed into the floor in case you forgot. Not to mention, I'm likely going to have a few bruises cause of him," I said with a scowl.

Sirena looked over to Twyla for help. Twy shrugged, not taking a side as always. Good choice for her. I wasn't in a good mood, so I probably would have snapped at my friends if they argued with me.

Rena just sighed and dropped the subject just as we reached our lunch table which lay in a secluded section of the lunchroom. The tables around it were either not occupied or they were taken, but by outsiders.

"Hey love! How was your day?" Liam gave his girlfriend a peck on the cheek and Jan rolled her eyes, a light blush forming across her face.

"You just saw me about a period ago Li," she said, shaking her head at him.

"But I still miss you," he replied with his famous puppy pout.

She just laughed lightly and took a seat next to him at our table.

A loud laugh interrupted my mental awing at the cute couple and I smiled, knowing that it was likely one of my best guy friends. Sure enough, Niall was laughing at something Twyla had said, her face now red. She was busy shushing Niall to keep from other people looking at them and I couldn't help but mentally awww them too.

"Hey Haz," I heard from Rena as she took the spot next to me and wrapped her arms around her boyfriend.

"Hey love." Harry gave her a kiss.

"PDA peeps, PDA. Keep it low, keep it low." I rolled my eyes at the couple, but couldn't stop myself from mentally awing them.

"You're just jealous that you don't have a boyfriend Alia," Sirena said with a smug smile.

"Cause I need to fall into the Cliché Curse for it to happen? No thanks," I said, rolling my eyes.

Seriously, with everything around here so cliché, I really didn't need anything else more so.

Turning to my other side, I asked, "So, Zayn, how's your art piece going?"

"Keep your voice down will ya," he said, looking around to see if anyone else heard.

Right. I forget sometimes that Zayn is like the female version of Twyla. They both were quiet, they both were super sweet, both acted like they didn't care but actually did, and both were super artistically talented - even though neither admitted it. What's even weirder is that he and I are pranking buddies, so, you know, polar opposite personalities.

"Alright." I lowered my voice a bit. "This better?"

He nodded, his blond quiff bobbing up and down a bit. "It's going great. At least, that's what I think. Mrs. Krauss said that I'm going in the right direction, maybe one of these will be the one to put in the show ya know?"

"Awesome! I'm still figuring out what I should do. Lost inspiration these days ya know," I said with a sigh.

"You'll get there eventually ya know. Don't give up love."

"Thanks Zaynie."

I smiled and reached out to hug him. To anyone else, this might seem like we were dating or something, but Zayn and I were just super close of the group. I guess it's cause everyone else is dating. Ironically, I became friends with Zayn because of my girlfriends' boyfriends.

The guys were always super tight, even before coming here, so it was kinda funny how they, a boy group, ended up dating some - the rest of - my girl squad. But anyway, that was how Zayn and I became besties.

"Awww," I heard behind me and I turned around to glare at the rest of the group.

"You guys should totally date," Sirena said with a smirk.

As if we were one, Zayn and I calmly got up and poured the entire giant chip bag over Sirena's head. When we sat back down, I reached over with my fist without looking and Zayn fist bumped me, a smirk on his face that was identical to mine.

"Right, you were saying?" I asked Rena with an innocent look on my face.

She took a deep breath and looked like she wanted to scream. "Nothing."

The others at the table looked like they were trying hard not to start laughing. Harry, being the fab boyfriend that he was, got up and tried to help Sirena.

It was safe to say that after that incident, Sirena left Zayn and I well alone for the rest of lunch.
